Good resort, but terrible beds
The Good The hotel itself is beautiful—clean, well-maintained, and staffed by friendly, attentive people. The pool and waterslide were a hit, and the beach, while a bit dangerous, was thrilling and fun. The food and drinks were solid, and the shower was fantastic. Its central location made it easy to explore the area. The Bad Unfortunately, being in a central location also meant that most nearby restaurants felt like overpriced tourist traps. Outside the resort, there was a noticeable homeless presence, which might be unsettling for some. But the real deal-breaker? The beds and pillows were hands down the worst we’ve ever experienced. Our family of four barely slept, with me waking up with back pain and the kids complaining of sore necks. After reading other reviews, we probably should have cut our losses and switched hotels early on.

Best located beach hotel in San Juan
This hotel is located at the best beach in San Juan, best downtown tourist area in Condado with a lot of restaurants and shops surrounding. The sphere in the hotel is great with a cozy swimming pool and connecting with the beach that waves crunch the shore/beach like music. I recommend it.

Pick another hotel
This place leaves much to be desired. Particularly for what they charge. Some of the catering staff were good, but the overall level of customer service was terrible. At $900 I expect a room where everything works, where the view is not a painted over attempt to hide that all you can see are the ac units on the roof. Where you don’t hear a blaring dj in the lobby playing for nobody. Pick someplace else.

Birthday to remember!
Visited the island for the first time with my partner and this property was everything we could've asked for and more! From Olga to Mariano, to even Angel at the bar. Everyone was super attentive and there ws always a smile on employee's faces. Chairs at the beach always available. Get there early for pool seats but it's nowhere near as bad as reviews make it seem. Ate at every outlet they had and didn't have one bad meal. Angel at the bar went above and beyond every single time even if what we wanted, wasn't on the menu. Bottomless mimosas for breakfast is a huge plus! As a fellow hotelier, I would go back in a heartbeat.

Not as advertised
So it's a mess of so many problems. Check in was easy. We got to our 'suite' which started the mess. Turns out they have a very limited number of 'suites', i.e. a separate bedroom from the tv / entry area, so what they advertise as a suite is just a larger than a standard room. Also, very few rooms have a direct ocean view, so they consider any slice of a view of the water as an "ocean view". It's really false advertising. Within the room, there's minimal overhead lighting. One side of the bed has no outlets, so it's annoying for two people to charge their phones overnight. Downstairs, they offer multiple 'restaurants', but each has a very small footprint with highly overpriced bland food, i.e. no brand-name restaurants on property like the other local hotels offer. So please just walk down the street (or get a ubiquitous uber) for meals. Grocery stores are nearby as well. The only exception (and the reason they get two instead of one star) is breakfast. Really nice spread of options, all included for gold and above level members. The gym is very strange, as it seems to be open to memberships so it was full of bodybuilders that are intimidating to weekend warrior hotel guests. The spa is very small, limited rooms with some cleanliness issues, and limited treatment options. You pay some exorbitant 'resort' fee of $65 per day for internet (you should get for free) and to play tennis for an hour, though no one seemed to be playing. Towels are locked up because they don't trust you (and I guess $65 per day per room isn't enough to replace lost towels). Bottom line, not in a 1000 years would I ever think of returning here if it was a stateside hotel. Even if I was headed back to PR, I'd think of avoiding marriott just to never set foot in this hotel again.

- AdvisoryThe hotel has completed the lobby and front desk remodel. Lobby looks fantastic, much more space and a more personalized front desk.
