Everyone gets sick
Family of 12, four separate rooms, all ate at different restaurants, yet EVERYONE got sick. It started on Day 2, and ruined the rest of our week long vacation. Spent thousands of dollars for a vacation that was ruined. Beaches are great, never had a problem finding an open chair, but too many of the areas and pools require a special upcharge badge.

Best Massage Therapist Ever - ISABEL
This review is specifically for Isabel, my massage therapist at the hotel spa. She was AMAZING!! Truly, it was the best Deep Pressure Massage I have ever had. I have lots of body aches and pain in neck/shoulders/back, and frequently get massages to treat them. So, when I say Isabel is the best I have ever had, that is REALLY saying something, because I have had hundreds of massages in my lifetime. She was incredible, and it was so therapeutic. ALWAYS ask for ISABEL!! She is so wonderful!!

Timeshare is a ripoff!
DO NOT PURCHASE THE TIMESHARE!! So, I’d like to start with we really like the resort. The problem that we have is the misleading information we were given during our timeshare pitch. We don’t even use the timeshare because it’s about double or triple the price that we were told originally it would be if we purchased the timeshare. When we were sitting with the sales team, we were told that the “all inclusive day rate” would range from “$60 a night in the low season UP TO $90 a day in the high season”. As of this week in April the average price PER PERSON is about $150 PER NIGHT. This is nowhere NEAR the prices we were told they range from. I purchased this timeshare based on the information I was given. If we could get the rooms for the prices that were quoted to us, we would stay there again. What’s frustrating is that we have been back to Playa Del Carman TWICE and we didn’t even use our timeshare because the prices were so high, even as a TIMESHARE OWNER. It was cheaper to stay at other ALL-INCLUSIVE resorts. We basically threw away nearly 10 grand purchasing with this company. I wish we could get out of the remainder of this contract, but it looks like we’re stuck with it. It’s very disappointing ONLY because of the original misleading information we were given. Again, we really enjoyed the resort and amenities. It’s a great family resort. We just cannot afford to stay there with 4-6 people with the prices they currently provide for “TIMESHARE OWNERS”. To those going to the TiMESHARE meetings…DON’T DO IT! If someone wants to reach out to us to uphold their word, that would be great. Current prices per night on the TIMESHARE site are from $137/night/per person to $332/night/per person, NOT $60-$90.

Almost my dream vacation
Had an amazing vacation in March of 2025. Only thing that wasn't perfect was the hotel. I can not recommend this hotel to anyone with allergies or food sensitivities. The main buffet has no allergy labels on any of the foods. I have a severe allergy and had no indication or what was safe for me to eat. The spoons for each dish are haphazardly placed and mixed between dishes leading to a lot of cross-contaminiation. At breakfast, the Nutella, peanut butter, syrup, etc. Are all open and leaking into each other from diners using scoops in each one. At the host station there's a large sign saying if you have allergies, to ask for help. I asked for help. What I was told was "Be careful". This aspect did not meet my expectations at all and ruined my buffet experiences. Restaurant bookings were notably better, with the exception of the salad bar at the Brazillian Steakhouse (same problems with crazy cross contamination between dishes). I don't expect special treatment, but when there's a sign that says "ask for help" and I do so, I don't expect to be dismissed like that. Also note that there's a lot of timeshare pressure and some pools, restaurants and bars in centrally located areas are restricted to timeshare only patrons. You'll need to walk a little further to get a drink and only can get breakfast at one place every morning unless you buy in. Needless to say, I won't be staying at a Sandos property again. I'll actively suggest my friends and family choose elsewhere, especially if they have allergies or sensitivities to any foods. I didn't feel valued as a customer at this resort, and my needs weren't met.
