This resort is fabulous! From the check-in to the check-out everything was excellent! We were there 11/2/24-11-16-24. Several people went above and beyond their to make this the best experience ever! Pool concierges David Osuna, Miguel and Antonio are the best. Always there to make sure we had what we needed, and every morning they came by to tell us what the pool lunch was serving. Our pool servers Ana and Basial were always there to check out that we kept supplied with drinks and had what we needed. Best restaurant hands down-Oceana! Joselyn was so friendly and nice when we went to get a table. Santiago came over, introduced himself, and made every meal special. Went out of his way to help accommodate food retractions. We ate there 3 times, and each time out servers-Patricia, Nadia and Edgard were exceptional! Market café never failed! Food was good, great selection. Michelle and all her hostesses were pleasant and friendly. After the 2nd day they remembered us, who our favorite severs were, and that we liked to sit outside. Otoneil, Hugo, and Julio remembered us from previous trips, greeted us like family. After the 1st day, when we would come in, they would verify that we wanted the same beverages for breakfast, and would be waiting at the table by the tie we returned from the buffet. Can't forget about the entertainment staff-probably the most friendly group in the 5 times we have been there. Shout out to Carla, Carlos, Max, Abbi, Andrea, Renee, Gabriel, and Abraham. I'm sure I have forgotten some people, but hopefully I mentioned the majority of them. The resort is beautiful, Staff is constantly keeping up with keeping it clean. Roslyn in the beach was there at 0630 to rake up the seaweed. Walkways are clean, and the the grounds are trimmed up. We had the best room concierge-Sergio building 9C. Every time we asked for something, he did it. Couple little issues with the room were fixed immediately. Maid service was great, everything was top notch. We never saw her (the card said Jackelyn), nor the maid who did turn down, but there were no issues and no complaints. Only complaints was the food at El Patio-not what we had in the past, but that is my opinion, I'm sure others liked it. Looking forward to retuning next year!

Best resort ever!
Went for a family wedding. It was a beautiful resort! Pools, beach, restaurants, spa, entertainment. The food was excellent! Something for all ages. No kids around. Attentive staff. Rooms were wonderful . All inclusive ! Highly recommended!!

Beautiful resort with excellent service - highly recommend
Gorgeous resort with amazing food and incredible service. We loved the food and drinks, with the poolside BBQs being a highlight. The beach and pool always had loungers available and clean towels were always ready. The staff were so helpful and kind. A big thank you to Leidy, our concierge. Leidy was an incredible help in fixing some issues with our airline that had nothing to do with the hotel. Leidy went above and beyond and was so friendly and professional. We also had a great time paddle boarding with Carlos and swimming with the turtles with Gabriel and Isabel. An amazing experience. I recommend doing the hydrotherapy session and couples massage at the spa. It was a wonderful experience.

Stop second guessing, and just book the dang vacation!
If you want a vacation where you can just completely relax and enjoy peace and quiet, This is the place for you. From the moment you get out of the shuttle to the point you get out by the ocean or poolside people are there to help with any need that you have. The staff is incredible at secrets, and the food is delicious. Me and my wife were celebrating our 10th anniversary and are so happy that we picked this resort. We will definitely be going back.

Amazing resort and incredible staff! Secrets Akumal 10/10
We had the BEST time at Secrets Akumal. You will be hard pressed to find something not right with this resort. Everything was incredible. The food is amazing, the resort is stunning and the beach is incredible. It was a truly amazing week. Entertainment team : we had so much fun with the entertainment team - special shout outs to Rene, Gabriel, Max, Abrahim and Carlos for so much fun with lots of pool and beach volleyball, pool basket ball and the crazy games!! thanks also Andrea for a wonderful bike ride tour and guacamole class, and Gina for a really fun movie quiz and Isabel for fun classes. Reception: special mention to Diego who helped me get some antibiotics ordered and delivered, much appreciated. Pool team: huge thanks to Israel for always being so happy and helpful with drinks and food everyday! Asian restaurant: thank you Adolfo for a wonderful Teppanyaki experience! The staff especially are wonderful and really made our trip. The servers in all restaurants, breakfast and pools were incredibly hospitable and worked super hard - as do the ground staff, bell boys etc. You see everyone working so hard in the heat and always happy to say hello to you. We will definitely return to Secrets Akumal. We had a great experience and was faultless in our eyes.
