Oasis of calm beauty
Secrets is an amazing hotel with super attentive staff. The Spa is a must visit while you’re here. An oasis of calm. Great coffee in Coco’s cafe throughout the day. And wonderful choice of food in all of their restaurants. I would highly recommend.

Puerto Calero holidays
Thought about not providing a review as we’d like this place to ourselves. However the team here make the experience wonderful and ensure you want for nothing. Try everything and you will not be disappointed. We’ve already booked next year.

Return to paradise March 2025
I have just returned from a 7 day holiday at this wonderful hotel, as always I had a superb experience which started the moment I arrived, a welcome drink of my choice and a pleasant/efficient check-in from the wonderful Veronica on reception, nothing was too much trouble. As usual the food was spectacular in all the restaurants, I was all inclusive on the unlimited preferred luxury which meant I was able to access all the restaurants and have breakfast at the Portofino restaurant, all are excellent offering something different, the default restaurant is the World Cafe which is a buffet style. Please note there is a dress code and some restaurants such as Portofino has a dress code where gentleman must wear long pants a collared shirt and dress shoes, they tell you this upon arrival, on the Hyatt App and with a sign outside the restaurant yet I still noticed some thoughtless/disrespectful guests arguing with the very patient hard working restaurant staff when they were refused entry for wearing shorts, I noticed some even left poor reviews as a consequence of their own foolishness at not respecting very reasonable rules, the World Cafe which is also excellent can be used as an alternative and has an informal dress code so those who can’t manage to not wear shorts for just a few hours still have plenty of dining options. The location of this hotel is perfect, close to the airport with a stunning 10 minute walk to Puerto Calero which is always a pleasure to visit although I was sad to see a lot of the designer shops had closed. Plenty of pools to choose from, no problems finding sun beds even though I was told the hotel was at about 96% full capacity, pool bar service was of the usual high standard as it was in the piano bar of an evening, great evening shows and I recommend the daytime activities such as archery, rifle shooting and yoga which are a lot of fun. In conclusion I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and am always impressed how this hotel maintains such consistently high standards in accommodation, dining, services and of course the Spa, I would like to give a very special mention to the guest experience manager Alejandro Borges for all his kind help and assistance.

A well-run resort hotel for grown-ups only.
I really wanted to give this resort a perfect score and maybe 4.5 would have been closer to the mark but nobody is perfect and hotels are the same. What is important is how issues are resolved and on that score the hotel is excellent. Any issues we raised were put right by staff who seemed genuinely keen to make things better. Macarena from Guest Experience took a personal interest in our housekeeping issues and resolved them. Guest Experience also gave us invaluable advice on visiting beautiful vineyards. We stayed in a "Preferred Suite" with balcony/sea view. The suite was fabulous - spacious, airy, clean lines and simple functional furniture. The included/free suite minibar is restocked daily. In the bathroom area there was a double sink unit, double whirlpool bath, shower and walk-in wardrobe. The bed was two doubles pushed together. At night we said "goodby, see you tomorrow", instead of simply "Goodnight". The "Preferred" option gives privileged access to a dedicated breakfast room (stunning ambience, beautifully prepared a la carte dishes and delightful staff); private bar (windy); private pool (cool) and private lounge (nice nibbles and endless Cava). There are various a la carte restaurants and a grill but these are not included in "half board" (there is a 20% reduction in total bill, however, if you choose not to have the standard buffet). As we were on "half board" the default position was to eat in "World Cafe" - the buffet. As travelers accustomed to "fine dining" this venue fell short for us. The main-course food was not attractively presented and sometimes plain "tired" and often only just warm. To be fair, the desert station was attractive and well run by a charming young lady from Colombia. F & B management are aware that the buffet needs refining and hopefully steps will be taken to make improvements over time. I have focused on the buffet but I understand that for those who think "food is fuel" all will be well. Eat all you want and go to the show in the Piano Lounge! The bottom line: would we go again - yes. Would we go half-board - no.
