Amazing time at Secrets Maroma
Our week at Secrets Maroma was nothing short of spectacular. Food was top notch, nightly entertainment and buffets were amazing, daily entertainment was non stop with activities. Service was awesome, Estephani in the World Cafe, our building concierge Diana, our UVC concierge Zayda, and our pool concierges Edy and Manuel all went above and beyond to make our trip truly amazing !! The entire entertainment staff deserves kudos as well.

Secrets are the staff!
After a rough first day, we were a bit concerned what we were getting ourselves into. The property is beautiful, the beach and beds are great, but it was supposed to be special, I was getting engaged, and it seems like things were going slightly wrong. Then came Alfonso, the concierge in Building 14 was excellent, and really made our trip something special, he turned everything around. He was incredibly accommodating ensuring that we had the best vacation possible. Me and my partner are incredibly happy and are sad to leave. Would recommend staying in building 14 for the best possible service.

Honest Review with tips
This was the best experience one could ever wish for! Secrets Maroma blew us away, and it's almost impossible to plan another trip without going here; however, we will be back. We are going to Hyatt Zilara for Cinco De Mayo ONLY because we wanted to shake things up. It will be impossible not to constantly compare resorts, as Secrets Maroma is the epitome of excellence. We are counting down the days to when we come back. The check in process was not pushy about buying their timeshares (as others have mentioned). The buffet was LAVISH, the Mexican restaurant was so-so. The Asian restaurant was so kind to seat us, even close to closing time. Make sure not to go on the other side of the rope on the beach, as this seating is for preferred guests. You can go and see the sunrise, put your towels on your beach chairs, go get breakfast, and return to your chairs with no issues. The pizza is decent, they just missed the mark there- but it's Mexico. The bar tenders were incredibly friendly and tended to our every need. When you're on the beach the waitstaff is above and beyond to mark sure you're happy and have a cold drink. They will take a warm drink from your table and refresh it with a cold one without even needing to ask. Coco Cafe is great, and the room service is THE BEST EVER! If you want a good exercise in the ocean do the kayaking, the guides are incredibly knowledgeable and will answer ANY question you have during the tour. If you want a smaller, over the top, personal, private, LAVISH experience- stay here. There was never any noise complaints, everything is within a 2-3 minute walk, and the concierge will do anything you ask. Sorry about my review, it is all over the place but honest :)

Amazing Couples experience
Secrets Maroma Beach is an amazing place. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay in a preferred club swim out junior suite. I highly recommend the preferred club as you get access to the separate a la carte breakfast spot, couples massage, as well as premium liquor in the lounge and liquor in your room. We arrived well before check-in and were greeted by Daniel and he did a great job getting our bags sorted and going a place for us to change to enjoy the resort before our room was ready. The pool and preferred beach area are very nice, although we had to get up by 630 to get seats close to the pool, which is a bit frustrating while on vacation. They do a good job of policing to make sure the chairs are used every hour. The good was good overall, with special focus on El patio as best meal, and Hugo at Oceania as the best service. Our concierge Roberto was amazing. We had a group with 4 couples and he did an amazing job to make sure we had the best experience, he definitely made the trip! Overall it was everything we had hoped for in our vacation and we hope to return again! The only complaints, albeit minor, would be the pool chair situation, lack of pool activities and games aside from volleyball/basketball and occasional activity, and wait for preferred club breakfast.

Amazing stay in paradise
Stayed for 11 nights and currently about to leave. Booked this hotel based on the amazing reviews and they weren’t wrong. It seems to me it’s a hotel based on a desire to be amazing, the food quality, the staff, the service, the friendly nature. This place has all the little details in place obviously sent down from top management and received well by the staff who are the real key to any hotel. Our favourite restaurant was hititsu which was excellent every time we went Italian and French were very nice The lobby bar every night before our meal became the norm and we got to know the waiting staff there who were the most friendly of all the staff we met. Our building was 15 with a building concierge who went above and beyond every time we needed them which wasn’t often but still you knew they were there. Some tips I’d recommend Sunbeds best spots at height of season are all gone by 7am, by 8am they are ALL gone. There aren’t enough beds for the hotel at 100% occupancy so expect to go to the beach if you don’t get a bed by the pool Always check in with the concierge be it the pool or the beach or your beds can/will be taken by someone else - it’s an ok system when you know it but the hotel doesn’t tell you this when you check in so day one we got nice beds and came back 10 mins later and they were gone. Prime time to eat is 7-8pm so if you’re having a drink somewhere maybe go check in with the restaurant and they will probably give you a buzzer to let you know when your table is ready so when we were having a drink in the lobby one of us would go and get the buzzer and not lose our table for drinks in the lobby. The infinity pool is the quieter pool so if you don’t want to get involved in the activities that’s the pool for you.
