A wonderful place to spend Christmas!

Loved our time at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos. The staff there are the best. They go beyond the call of duty. The hotel is beautifully decorated and love walking through the grounds at night with all the lights on the trees and soft music playing. It is like a home away from home. We are always well greeted there and well looked after. The beds are very comfortable and the menu for the pillows very impressive. The mini iPad they have in the rooms to see the daily activities is very helpful and also to look at the restaurants and their menu. We were there for Christmas and the hotel was full of festivities and excitement. Beautiful ambiance. We cannot wait to return soon!

    Hibachi grill was amazing

Ismael and uzi were fabulous at the hibachi grill. Great show and probably the best food we had at the resort during our week stay. Definitely worth trying to get a reserved table for this. You have to get there before 4 to get in line to get your name on the list. But worth it!!

    Different from other Secrets properties...

We just returned after a 5-night stay over Christmas – party of five. This is my 9th all-inclusive and my 3rd Secrets. Overall, I would give this resort a 5 or 6 out of 10. My detailed review is below but the summary is that while clean and nice, it is not on par with the other Secrets we have been to. Best part - incredible sunsets! Beach – you can see the beach from everywhere on property. The actual beach access is a fair walk from the main area of the resort. The beach has palapas and a bar but not much else that we could see. It did not look like there was any food service. The access is down the stairs. We knew the beach was not swimmable, but I expected it to be more accessible. Pool – it was heated and lovely! There are a lot of little “islands” to sit on and relax. The two iguanas that live in the trees were fun to track. We had no issues finding chairs, even later in the morning. Tons of towels and the pool staff was great. Shout out to Angel & Roberto for being right there with the drinks and remembering us day after day. Food – the Market Café breakfast is great. Lots of options and consistent offerings. We took advantage of the omelet station daily. Service is hit or miss. Each morning, I refilled my own coffee – maybe I just drank it too fast! The other restaurants were a disappointment. Food was okay but not great. The guacamole was great at the pool – very fresh. My entire group thought the beef offerings were less than average. The filet is not a filet but some other cut. Our meal at the Hibachi was great – once we got a reservation. It took multiple times and ended up lining up about 3:20 (reservations open at 4:00) We were second in line, but more than half the spots were already reserved. Maybe club members can make reservations earlier? Our meal was great, but it was a late night- we were seated at 9pm. Drinks – disappointing unless you knew exactly what you wanted – even better if you order in Spanish. At other resorts, the bartenders have been very creative with holiday drinks and resort-specific specialties. We ended up ordering the same thing every time once we figured out what the specific bartender could make. In our experience – pool drinks were better than Rendezvous/Birdcage. Entertainment – almost non-existent at this resort. The entertainment team ran stuff at the pool from about 11am to 3pm but it was the same thing every day – water aerobics, a number game, water volleyball and that’s about it. I think there were other things like archery in the mornings, but you had to go find them. There was a buffet/party on Christmas Eve but no other shows/events. Evenings are incredibly quiet. There was live music in the Rendezvous/Bird Cage lounge every night until about 9pm. The disco started at 10:30 but it was just a playlist of dance songs in the Desires lounge. This is our 9th all-inclusive and we expected a nightly show of some sort. Transportation – we booked through the resort with Amstar. There were no issues – punctual and pleasant drives to and from the resort.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos - Loved our romantic getaway

This was a Christmas present from my husband. This was our first time in Cabo, and everything was perfect. Our swim out room was amazing , the staff was beyond welcoming and attentive. We dined at all the restaurants and the food was to die for. We had an unforgettable experience. The location, amenities, and staff were extraordinary. Huge shout out to Ivan and Delmer for their attention to detail and their commitment of excellence are clearly reflected in their work. They consistently delivered high quality of work and are the reason we will be returning. They are models of excellence to the team. We highly recommend.

Good resort, bad reception credit card experience

We had a great stay at Secrets 12/22 - 12/26, but what happened after we left made it a negative experience The resort grounds is clean and pretty with a lot of flowers and plants, maintenance does a great job. All the staff are friendly. Food and drink are decent. We booked preferred ocean view room and upgraded to ocean front room at check-in. They charged my credit card as one upsell charge, no problem there. Then the same guy put another 10,000 MX peso authorization hold on my credit card. Normal procedure for any hotel. When we checked out, the guy said authorization hold would be released since there is no any additional expense during our stay. It’s all inclusive after all. Now we are back home and Secrets did NOT release the hold, instead they put 10,000 Mx pesos hold go through. That’s unacceptable. I am disputing this charge through Chase. This put a damper on our experience. Hopefully Secrets realizes its mistake and refunds my cc after my dispute
