Mar 25, 2025Beach A+ (staff and beach in general).
The bartenders at the beach. Ruben, Anthony, Juan and Jose are FANTASTIC. They made our stay wonderful. Wasn't overly impressed with some of the other staff. Having said that, our room was clean and well stocked. Allergies seem to be an issue for them. Meaning cross contamination was a very real thing! Because of the language barrier I feel that pictures would be helpful for guests and staff alike. We had private transportation from Ambstar. Jose was the absolute best. He took pride in himself and the vehicle he was driving.

Mar 25, 2025Secrets Royal Beach - Great couples getaway!
Secrets Royal Beach - we have stayed at other Secrets resorts and this makes the list of top 5 for sure! The customer service was exceptional - we truly felt like family the entire trip. We were upgraded to Preferred upon arrival and now will never go without! Himitsu was our favorite restaurant - visited 4 times during our 9 nights! Beach was beautiful - lots of powder sand and walking both directions. Pools never felt over-crowded and variety of quiet areas along with social scenes. We had the option to visit Dreams next door but we truly wanted an adult-only getaway without kids! We went to relax and that is what we were able to do! We definitely will be back to this location!

10 days at Secrets Royal Beach, Punta Cana.
The experience at Secrets Royal Beach was all that was expected, however, this trip it seems to just improve with time. We enjoyed everything from the lobby to the entertainment venue, to the restaurants, to the pools, to the beach. Our room was centrally located so it was perfect for our pathways in any direction.

Just got back from Secrets. I’ve been to a ton of different All Inclusive’s all over the Caribbean over the years and here is my honest review. The resort and property and clean and nicely laid out. The staff for the most part were very good, Kudos to both Alexander (Bartender at the Rendezvous Lounge) and Jose (Swim up pool bartender) Overall the food was good and probably the best nightly entertainment I’ve seen at any resort. The rooms were nice, but was surprised the only liquer in the room was a few beers in the fridge. I heard and read some people say the Preferred rooms were worth extra cost and few who said they would never pay the extra amount again. The drinks were very hit and miss. Easily the worst Pina Coladas I’ve ever had and others there agreed. The restaurants and Buffet were all good. By far the biggest turn off unfortunately happened right at check in. After we checked in the guy (I’ll leave his name out) was WAY to aggressive trying to sell the $200 massage we would get for free. I obviously asked him if there was any catches and he said no. He keep blabbing away and finally I asked him again and he finally said had to go to a presentation. I told him was not interested in that but he kept talking. Then he saw me later in the lobby and came after me trying to do it again. I’ve Never seen anything this bad and it was a huge turn off to say the least and wasn’t expecting that especially from what’s considered a nicer resort. Nothing more of a turn off than someone pressuring you to do or buy something like the way he did. A terrible way to start our vacation to say the least! Yes I’ve had other places approach about it, but nothing quite like this bad. Secrets if your reading this, you need to train your employees way better to not turn people off being so aggressive. Won’t go back just for that reason alone! I’m in sales and would never treat anyone the way he did! A nice resort but I’ve been to RIU’s, Barcelo’s, Sandals and many other All Inclusive’s that were just as good if not better for less price.

Must need R & R
Surprised my husband with a birthday trip to Punta Cana. We had a great stay at Secrets. Reuben made the best drinks at the beach bar and kept checking on us the entire time. The nightly entertainment was great and the spa treatment was heavenly. We enjoyed our time there!
