Great location
We enjoyed Secrets St Martin . Got a great deal on a Prefered Master Club Suite. Loved the room with a marina view . Food was good . No beach or pool drink service. Probably why we only gave a 4 star . Things are changing with resorts today . Tightening their budget we suspect. Dress codes for dinner at the alacarts are extremely relaxed . 90 % of the crowd wore shorts , tee shirts and flip flops . Too many iguanas on the property. People are feeding them . Not sure that is good . Birds at the Market Buffet in the morning are over bearing. The resort needs to try and control that . They are on the tables and don’t leave for a minute to get something as they will be in you your food . Anyway glad we chose this resort. The beach and sand were amazing.

Couples get away.
The beaches were gorgeous! Thank goodness because although the resort states it’s a 5 star it felt more like a 3 star. Service was slack. Staff was friendly but seemed very laid back. Which is fine we aren’t demanding, but took a long time to even get a cup of coffee at breakfast. Room was average nothing spectacular. They did say they did recent renovations, did not seem like it. A staff member told us that the recent company that took over was pulling out and they will be closed for a bit for new takeover and renovations. It would be interesting to see if once that is all complete if there is improvement. We’re not really fussy people, honestly we went for the beach and the price was right. It’s an adult only resort and stayed private beach, however there is a public beach attached so there were children running and playing. We were fine with that but some people were not expecting that. if we would have paid more it would have been even a bigger disappointment. We have literally had better service in a 4 star in Cuba.

Great experience, would come back!
Overall it was a wonderful experience, price still too high for what was offered. Food was great, especially the salad bar which we like, not for everyone. We did not go to the spa, lots here at home, was not the reason why we went on a vacation. Wish there was a daily trip into town and back, for a cost of course, but would have made the experience more realistic
