Perfect for Families: Beautiful, Clean, Friendly & Tasty
It was a perfect week-long getaway. We went as a family of 5: with our 7 year old daughter, our grown-up nephew and his girlfriend. The whole resort is fabulous for kids and families but also offers enough space for everyone to do their own thing for a while, plus a couple of adults-only areas. We all loved the 5 swimming pools, and that they offered something for everyone: kids could be easily supervised at the water slides while parents could stay nearby on their lounge chairs, you could jump into the pools and dive, some were warmer, some cooler, one just for adults. The beach is relatively narrow but the water gets deep enough to swim without having to walk in far. The sand is as fine as flour. We also loved the spacious luxurious rooms, the overall architecture, the food options including both the buffet and the restaurant options. We all enjoyed the Steakhouse food the best, and the Mexican restaurant. All the employees were extremely friendly and responsive, but we do want to mention a couple by name who were exceptionally attentive: Cristian, the server at the Rodeo Grill Steakhouse, and Carlos, the manager there. At the buffet, which was a highlight for our daughter, who couldn't get enough of the many different, fresh and tasty options, we noticed Enrique and Carlos as particularly helpful. Our daughter loved all the activities: zip lining, air hockey, foosball, trampoline, mini golf, live shows, especially the Magic Show. I loved the Mexican cultural show the best and its wonderful dancers. We also had the pleasure to go on a day trip to Tulum, with our lovely guide Felix from the Cancun Adventures Tours, who was passionate, knowledgable, and fun to be around. In a small group of 12, we toured the Mayan Temples near Tulum, swam in a Cenote and went snorkelling at the Akumal Lagoon. (Bring a re-usable water bottle to the ruins, there's no plastic allowed, it can get very hot.) -- If there are any small criticisms it would be that the seaweed (in early April) was a little much for such a small beach and in the water, although we did see it being removed in part throughout the week; and, it can be tricky to stay out by the pools through the day because there is no shade for most of the chair areas; and, on a tiny note for improvement, our room didn't have any places to hang up towels or other wet or damp items, neither inside nor on the balcony. - Otherwise, we were super happy and relaxed and felt well taken care of all around!

Amazing family trip at Sensira
Oscar and Marcos were our buttlers and we had an amazing service and week with them. They were very welcoming and kind with the kids, always making sure we were having fun and didn’t miss anything. We loved the shows at night - the dancers were REALLY incredible. Thank you to Daniel who was greeting us. Asias and Hever were great waiters and were very good with us. Our cleaning staff also did an amazing job the whole week. The Aquino Family.

Great family friendly destination
Safe, clean and very family friendly resort with fantastic staff! The steakhouse was just okay, but the other restaurants were fantastic. We were upgraded to a room with bunk beds very close to the beach and pools which was incredibly convenient with two little kids.

Steak house restaurant
Jesus was great. He recommended the best food. The steak was amazing. Service was amazing. Appetizers were excellent. I would recommend to come here to eat all the time. The best food I’ve had. I would recommend 10/10. The dessert was so delicious.

Worth it
This resort was amazing. It catered for all types of travellers. We were a family of four and were meeting two other families. So in total there were four adults and five young kids. There were lots of activities for the kids. The food was good with lots of options. We went to the three restaurants at the resort for dinner. The best one was Rodeo. The buffet is by far the best option. I love the Tea Room down stairs and the snack bar by the pool. Our room was gorgeous, we had a tub ( best for kids bath time) it faced the ocean and the adults only pool area. The kids were always in a hurry to do something fun. They easily forgot their favourite stuffies, they ended up lost on the resort. Laura and Ximena at the concierge desk worked very hard to help us find them. The staff is really helpful and kind. Angel was very good with the kids at the zip line and was often friendly when he saw us. He remembered our names, even the kids’ names. There are so many good things about this resort. The resort is super clean and smells so nice. There is very good security on the resort. We felt safe at all times. The beach towels were such a great quality of cotton. I would have definitely bought them if they sold them in the gift shop. The only negative thing is that Sensira Resort does not have an airport shuttle and you have to find your own way if your reservation was not part of a package. We bought our flights and accommodation separately. As a result, we paid $100US for a 25 min drive to the resort and $84US on the way back to the airport. We were hustled when we arrived and were initially charged $150US. If you live in Canada the conversion is steep. Over $200 for a 25 mins shuttle drive. Oh the beach is not the best. Lots of sea weed but apparently this part of Cancun is known for having lots of sea weed. For our excursions we used Amigo Tours for a trip to Chichen Itza, Cenote, Tequila tasting ( for those interested). Our tour guide’s name was Kevin and he was knowledgeable and personable. We will most likely rebook Sensira in the future.
