    The Soco Hotel, Barbados

    Fantastic little hotel, adults only. Advertised as all inclusive but more full board including drinks as each meal was a proper dining experience, being seated and choosing from a menu that changed every couple of days. Food was excellent quality and although we did eat out the food in the hotel was much tastier and if you wanted more you only had to ask. The poolside bar staff were fantastic - shoutout to Michelle, Shane and Zak!! - with a great rum tasting experience once a week and good cocktail list. Previous reviews had mentioned road noise when in your room but once the air con was on it wasn’t a problem. Lovely little beach with a sheltered swimming area plus sun loungers and umbrellas provided. Great local bars and restaurants close by if you fancied a bit of a change and located right at the start of the boardwalk, if you fancied a stroll.

    Don’t miss this place!

    The rum tasting with Michelle was amazing! Inclusive, funny and we were all singing by the end. Highly recommend, the location and beach are outstanding.

    Rum tasting at its best

    Michelle gave us the best experience of rum tasting in Barbados. The history of why it's important to Barbados. The bonus was tasting all the different rums. Do not miss this.

    Lived up to every promise!

    This is possibly my favourite hotel stay ever! The Soco Hotel describe themselves as a boutique hotel and a foodie paradise and it did not disappoint! The staff were so friendly from the get go but also learn your names, your drink orders and more. The cocktail evening on a Monday is a lovely way to meet other people in the hotel - it’s a really friendly atmosphere - and the rum tasting with Michelle on Wednesday morning was a highlight too and a real Bajan experience! Every room has a sea view, the beach is just outside the hotel and the a la carte menu was divine! If I am fortunate enough to come back to Barbados, I will stay at The Soco Hotel again!

    A bit of Bajan Bliss

    We had the most incredible time at the SoCo hotel. The food, staff and rooms were all brilliant. A special shout out to Trudy who looked after our room, and Zak and Shane behind the bar, but our favourite person of all? Michelle!! So lovely and kind and knowledgable about rums, nothing is ever too much and she always goes the extra mile. The Wednesday AM rum tasting with Michelle was the HIGHLIGHT of our week!
