Exceptional Experience
WOW WOW WOW If you’re looking for the ultimate Turks & Caicos experience in luxury and service I highly recommend the Somerset on Grace Bay. We stayed in Suite 3 Welwyn which boasts 3 large bedrooms and is beautifully decorated. It has an enormous wrap-around balcony equipped with a grill & spacious hot tub which overlooks the ocean & the 3 gorgeous connected pools- a lap pool, a kids zone, and a zero-edge infinity pool (something for everyone) If you’ve never been to Grace Bay you’ll be amazed with the velvety, pure white sand & the gorgeous aqua water - just magnificent! The Somerset offers fabulous accommodations and exceptional service, particularly Colin & Nadine who were always very attentive to our needs. They epitomized the saying- “Service with a Smile “ Needless to say, whether you’re looking to participate in a wide variety of activities & water sports or simply desire a relaxing, peaceful getaway to re-charge your battery from your busy life with no disappointments, The Somerset on Grace Bay completely checks all the boxes.

Perfect Trip with Friends to the Somerset in December
We had an amazing stay with 2 other couples at the Somerset in December! The resort is gorgeous, right on Grace Bay with a large beach & 2 beautiful pools. The boutique size is perfect, not too big or crowded but has great resort amenities. We loved our beautifully decorated and appointed townhome. It was spacious & private, just perfect for 3 couples and would be great for families too. The staff was warm & attentive, catering to all our needs. The resort is conveniently located close to many great restaurants and an easy taxi drive from the airport. We loved our stay at the Somerset and will definitely be back!

A true luxury vacation with family!
This is the one place where it truly feels like we are on a luxury vacation with our family. Often times, a trip with kids can be more work. Not here though. The Somerset’s staff, location, decor and amenities are beyond wonderful. The kids enjoy the pool and beach all day and eat lunch there as well. Parents don’t have to lift a finger! Five stars for safety, beauty, luxury and fun!!!

In a word -- paradise
The Somerset is truly paradise. From the beautiful accommodations (we stayed in Residence 5), to the lovely grounds, pools, beach, sailing and other amenities, The Somerset continues to exceed expectations. It's the perfect place to rest, relax and have some fun.

Biggest disappointment, NOT 5-stars! Go elsewhere!
We booked a 2-bedroom Ocean room and were shocked and utterly disappointed to see our room. It was completely outdated and stains on furniture, old yucky blinds. The pull out couch mattress was horrible, too! A fridge in the second room was left open by maintenance and reeked of dirty socks and old wet laundry. We traveled as a family of 4 (2 kids 2 adults) plus brought our nanny. We traveled during peak spring break so of course no other rooms were available. We spent $13k for just the room, and, despite T&C being a pricey island in itself, I feel like anything would have been better than this place! The staff were so rude. No one cared to help or get to know you/your family. I felt I needed to apologize any time I had to ask the beach/pool employees a question because I felt like a burden interrupting their chats. They seem to cater to what must be timeshare or condo owners on property who are repeat guests. One positive was housekeeping staff - they were kind and did a good job. The pool restaurant/ food on property was a joke too. The breakfast items that were actually good all cost extra which we happily paid for. Tea was always cold too. The small pool was cold but at least we weren’t expecting a big pool from the pics. I give it two stars simply because of the beach. It was the dreamiest, clean beach with a lot of privacy and a lot of space to play. You never fight for lounge chairs because this hotel is so small. I have traveled the world staying at 5-star properties in many countries and have never felt so duped before. I was literally embarrassed for having booked this place. We made our reservation a short 2-months prior to our visit, so the island was already very booked up. I would have preferred the next door property for sure - we ate and shopped there multiple times and were blown away by its sophistication. I haven’t written a TripAdvisor review since 2016 just because life happened (married, kids, work, etc) but we travel a few times a year and I felt compelled to share our experience to hopefully save another busy working mama from the disaster of booking this place. Please DM me anytime for specific questions I can help with. Unrelated - the airport is also a hot mess!! We paid express for the express option which was $1k for our group and had we not it would have been way worse with no AC and a baby!
