Enjoy the best fine dining in La Fortuna, Arenal in our incredible restaurant Las Ventanas where the only thing better than the view is the food. Be careful to avoid the window seats if you are afraid of heights because the windows are angled out to allow you to look almost straight down a thousand feet to the river below! At night the distant mountains twinkle with the lights of cities thirty miles away. Be sure to dine here at least once during the day and once during the evening to capture the complete experience.

Our gourmet buffet restaurant would be appropriately described as a “Tasting” experience. Here you will sample to your heart’s content a complete salad bar with our signature dressings, hot and cold soups of the day, assorted fresh baked breads, and a selection of hot entrée items of which a few will be specially prepared for you right at the buffet. The menu changes daily and may tend toward Italian one day to Asian the next. Our dessert bar offers small bite size portions to minimize your guilt while sampling them all and, of course, maybe returning for an extra piece of your favorite. Fresh fruit juices, tea and coffee are included. Even though it is a buffet you will have a waiter attending to your every need. We like to refer to it as a “Full Service Gourmet Buffet”.

Feb 14, 2025Incredible stay at the Springs
Our family of four just left this spectacular resort and we had the best time!! There are so many highlights to name and most have already been mentioned by previous reviews. We have several friends from back home in Ft Lauderdale who had stayed here and highly recommended this property, so I had high expectations and it did not disappoint! Standouts include Esteban, who gave us our welcome tour. Max, one of the bartenders, was awesome. Dinner at Las Ventanas our last evening was delicious with outstanding service. The hot springs are so relaxing and the drinks are tropical and refreshing. River tubing was a blast! The animal sanctuary and cat feeding was very cool for my animal loving 10 year old. Ping pong tables down at Club Rio were a hit too! Game room for my boys to have some down time, dart board, chess, and a pool table were all well used by our family as well. Our room was incredibly spacious and the view of the volcano was unreal, like a painting. Hammocks on the patio were a great touch. Housekeeping and turndown service were great. Having free laundry machines on our floor was so awesome to get laundry done and helped us to pack light for our trip. We will definitely return and in the meantime, we’ll be telling all of our friends about this place!

It’s a must do!
The resort property was outstanding. Everything was meticulous. The staff was incredible. They greeted you and treated you like family. They cannot have been more gracious plenty of activities to do the Hot Springs the pools, the gym the spa. Horseback riding white water rafting, and plenty more for active people such as hiking and ATV excursions. There’s also an on-site wildlife tour with animals that have been rescued from local residences. Thank you for making our trip one of a kind. Debbie Lardieri

Excellent Experience
This was part 2 of our recent Costa Rica Trip. We previously spent 3 days at the Westin Playa Concha. We spent 3 days here. I'm 81 and travelled with my adult daughter. Orlando gave us an excellent orientation tour. Our room was on the fourth floor and excellent in every way with amazing views. The food was good and we ate in every venue but the high end restaurant. Note that the restaurant cocktails were very expensive ($20-$30). Being the cheapskate I can sometimes be, I brought my own booze to consume in the room and stuck with house wine and beer in the restaurants and pool. We went to the river area and I loved the thermal pools. My daughter loved the river tubing. We did all the thermal pools in the upper resort and they were amazing. I even did the Monkey slide. We did one excursion, the ATV adventure. Joseph has built a wonderful family business and we enjoyed meeting his family at their farm. I rode with my daughter and had my 81 year old back and kidneys rattled a bit. Was fun though. Sadly the volcano was only visable our first day. We did get to see a sloth on our final day. Can't say enough about the friendlieness of the staff.

Amazing resort
Amazing resort with wonderful staff and fun on site activities. Special shout out to Carlos, Estaban, Gina and Jeffery at reception, Gabriel, the fantastic barista, Gabriella at the spa, Anthony at the pool bar and Nino at the equestrian center. The list can go on and on-everyone has a smile and is happy to chat or help. The activities on site were fun and so easy. Room was beautiful with a view of the volcano. Sushi was delicious. Highly recommend the ATV farm tour and the waterfall repelling.

5 ⭐️ Experience
We loved our time at The Springs, wow! Highly recommend!! The staff was fantastic, especially Boyron, who we got to see several times, so friendly, helpful and kind. The food is great, the pools are amazing, the location and scenery and stunning…best place I’ve ever stayed! Can’t wait to come back!
