If you like big resorts this one is a pretty good one
So first off, this is the largest resort on St. Kitts. We tend to do smaller resorts than this and I was a little hesitant, but the number of on-site restaurants is what sold me. We got a deluxe suite in the main building up on the 5th floor. The room was fantastic. Huge shower, bedroom separate from the sitting room, big L-shaped couch, dining area, two bathrooms, large comfy bed, balcony facing the ocean. Cleaned every day and everything top notch for the room. Arrived on Friday and the pool was packed and loud music going. Went to a side pool and it was less crowded, but they had music going too. Turns out I think there was a big convention or something, everyone wearing name tags. At first, I seriously questioned picking the resort. But by Sunday afternoon a lot had cleared out and it was fairly quiet after that (4 night stay). Pools were well cleaned and nice thing is each chair has its own attached sunshade. We liked that. We spent most of the time at the beach. There were usually chairs and they have a ton of permanent palapas. The water is on the Atlantic side, so there was some wave action. They have two breakwalls so that calms it down a lot. But depending on the day it can be fairly ok or rough. I'm sure the Caribbean side is calmer. That is always something to think about at any Caribbean resort, which side of the island its on. But we liked the beach. Restaurants: steak house is fantastic, Italian is hit or miss, dinner buffet at Calypso on weekends is smaller but excellent, Calypso Cafe was our go-to for coffee and pastries every morning (it can get busy but they do a good job). Speaking of the cafe, I was very surprised how affordable (by Caribbean standards) it is. Coffee prices comparable to Starbucks, $8 smoothies, $3.50 muffins (delicious), lots of pastries about $4-5 each. Sandwiches there are large and only $10 and sooooo good (highly recommend the Prosciutto paninni). Did not have the breakfast buffet at the resort. Lunch at the poolside restaurant one day (Saturday) was crazy busy and waited an hour for the food, but when it did arrive it was really, really good. Had the blackened fish sandwich - delicious! And one cocktail and I had a buzz on, so they don't skimp. Funny thing about the food is the prices aren't that high by Caribbean standards. We paid about $120 for two at the steakhouse (wine each and no desert), whereas we paid about $180 down the street for sushi (2 rolls, 2 cocktails, 2 deserts). Staff everywhere were always great, especially at the Cafe. They work so hard when it gets busy but are very efficient and friendly. But have no complaints at all about service the entire stay. There are several restaurants within walking distance down the street (sushi, Lebanese, Indian, various Asian) and a fair-sized smaller grocery store. Felt perfectly safe walking around. We probably wouldn't stay again because it was a little too big for our normal Caribbean vacation. But it really did grow on us and everything worked out great. We had a relaxing vacation.

Second trip to St.Kitts 2025
We visited for two weeks in January and enjoyed every day. We came back in March on a cruise and headed straight back to the Marriott to enjoy the pool/beach and to see the staff that have now become our friends. The staff at this hotel have been awesome. A big shoutout to Charleen and Latrice at the pool. They were great with all our service every day. They are very friendly. They made sure we were taken good care of.

Shaq is the Bomb.com!
We came over from Nevis for the day, hungry and decided to stop at the lobby bar! We didn’t know the bar opened at 3pm - weird! But we had a drink with Shaq - what a gem! He turned around our disappointment into an experience of ultimate pleasure that you forgot you were hungry!! Enjoyed our time with Shaq! Hold onto this gem!!

Great Place/ Awesome Service
Just returned from 2 weeks at this resort. Had a fantastic stay. We stayed in room 520 on the top floor. Suite was huge! Bed was very comfortable with very nice pillows. While the hotel is getting a bit older, our room was well kept up. Our maid Erica did a great job every day. She learned our patterns and left plenty of cream for the coffee. She definitely added to our vacation. The pool was awesome with plenty of chairs. It may get a bit crowded when multiple cruise ships are in as this is an optional excursion for their passengers. Water in the pool was very comfortable yet refreshing. I would recommend 2 of the 4 restaurants. LaCucina is great. I had the spaghetti with Lobster one night, and Spaghetti with scallops and shrimp another. Both were Excellent! I would also recommend the buffet for breakfast. Salena the hostess was most welcoming and knew our names from about day 3. We had made to order omelets off the buffet every day. The Staff is great is great with our upgraded room, it included the breakfast which is about a $65 value per day (for 2). We didn't get a car, but taxi's were readily available. Troy at valet stand actually organized all of our rides for the 2 weeks as he also owns a taxi company. He did great. There are actually restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance and it's very safe.

Racist to Foreign Black People
This is the worst attitude I’ve seen from a hotel. These people do not like black people , which is sad. There were times a counter person smiled and laughed a little with a white family and as soon as I get to the counter blank face. This is true for the entire island, but subsides as you get farther away from the Marriott. People in Nevis were much nicer. The hotel is dated and dirty. If I don’t wipe my feet before getting into bed, there’s floor reside all over the sheets. The bathtub was not cleaned when we got to the room. Would not recommend, especially if you’re a black family
