    Beautiful Beach/Island, Budget-Friendly Hotel, Needs Work/Dated Property

As a loyal Marriott member and Titanium status I was happy to find a Bonvoy property in Saint Kitts. This is our second time visiting SKB, we truly love the island and everything it has to offer. I have stayed at many Marriott properties and while the staff was accommodating and the resort was very reasonably surprised I was a little shocked at the quality of the resort when we got there. We were upgraded to an oceanfront balcony suite (I used my suite night awards). However the room seemed empty and not well taken care of. Simple things like mold on the balcony, caulk missing from the bathroom, old stained door handles etc. showed the age of this resort. I have really no complaints since I paid a cheap $270/night when the rate was first released however if I paid more I would have been upset. I was personally informed by the concierge I would be receiving a complimentary bottle of champagne upon entry but that never came to fruition. My mom, who checked in about 2 hours earlier let the team know it was my birthday and they provided decor on the bed.. but compared to other MB properties we recently stayed at I was surprised there were no further comps for titanium. The elite breakfast was poor at best. It was the same scrambled eggs (no hard boiled, no over easy) everyday unless you updated. We updated the first day to get omelette but past then I did not see a point. The beach was large and beautiful with plenty of room… however competing with cruise ship guests for shade was not really what I had in time. The pools were also large but activities were limited. Since we stayed in SKB earlier this year we knew to go off site for many of the restaurants. We did eat at the sushi bar one night which was surprisingly good (after seeing previous reviews). I would also like to shout out the spa, it was probably the most well kept section of the resort, super clean with very nice and accommodating staff. We did a couples massage for my birthday and it was excellent… Overall I would struggle giving this resort any more than 3 stars. They really need to upgrade or overhaul the property to compete with Hyatt on the island. You’ll also notice there is a lot of empty/vacant wasted space in the common areas… this resort has a ton of potential so, as a Marriott loyalist hoping it improves soon! We will be back either way due to our love for the island.

    Amazing beach!

This is the perfect place to stay in St. Kitts! The beach is so expansive with beautiful sand. There are little cabana coverings on the beach that are free to use and give great protection from the sun! There are a few swimming pools with a nice swim up bar. We had an ocean view room and it was great! The only thing I’d include about the room was that the AC was pretty loud (I’m not sure if that was just our room though) so bring some ear plugs, and the step to get into the bathtub/shower is tall, so ask for an accessible room if you have mobility issues (we had no problem). All of the staff were so great and helpful. It is very easy to get a taxi from the hotel - we went all over the island! There are several restaurants as well as a little grocery store that sells alcohol within walking distance. I would definitely stay here if I come back to the island!

Great Family Friendly Hotel and Location

Hotel Review The hotel, though a bit dated, offers a welcoming atmosphere with its friendly staff. With three pools and a beachfront location, it’s easy to find a spot that suits your preference. The property also features several good dining options, though food service can occasionally be slow, operating on "island time"—a challenge if you’re dining with hungry kids. Family-Friendly Features The main pool is highly accommodating for families, providing a fun space where kids of all ages can splash around, play games, and simply enjoy themselves. For adults seeking a quieter experience, the hotel has two additional large pools without the music and energy of the main pool, offering a more serene atmosphere. Rooms and Accessibility During our stay, we found that a resort-facing room was perfectly adequate, as we primarily used it for sleeping. I wouldn’t recommend upgrading your room unless you plan to spend significant time in it. For older guests or those with mobility challenges, I suggest booking a room in the main hotel building, as some accommodations are spread out across the property, which could be inconvenient for those with limited mobility. Beach and Surroundings The hotel’s beach on the Atlantic side is beautiful, with soft sand and no need for water shoes. However, the waves can be rough at times, so supervision is essential for children. If you plan to visit beaches on the Caribbean side, be prepared for rocky terrain—water shoes are recommended. This was the case at most of the beaches we visited on both St. Kitts and Nevis. Overall Impression We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the hotel well-suited for families. With its friendly staff, ample amenities, and family-friendly facilities, I’d recommend this hotel, especially for those traveling with kids.

    Great vacation spot.

The staff were incredibly friendly and happy! We were first placed into a room that had no balcony or patio. It was a lovely room but kind of felt like a dungeon. We were there on a very slow week and the staff was able to move us to a room in the main building which had a balcony! Heaven!!! Only the main building has an elevator. The other buildings have stairs!!!! There are 3 pools - all well kept but the water was cold as it rained every night.Across the street is a pharmacy, breakfast spot, grocery store and an Indian restaurant. Food at the hotel was very good although service was very slow. The beach was nice, but the ocean was very rough.Really have no complaints and would go back!

    Very relaxing vacation

We loved relaxing at the resort, enjoying the quiet swimming pool, and participating in a few activities. The apartment was huge…bigger than our apartment at home! The “owners” desk was always very helpful with everything we needed. Lots of restaurants nearby. Be sure to stop by the little local shops on the first floor for a great souvenir. And the Marriott is one hotel where many concessionaires will pick up for a tour.
