    Bad start

Arrived 7h30 at airport, arrived at 11h00 in hotel, check in 40 min (!), no feedback from AirTranzat to hotel check in - reception, the guy was wiggled 40 minutes to give our rooms, at near midnight only one eating place open, a "pizza" place, the oven not fully functional, "pizza" not a little bit cooked 😪, we eat only the topping cheese, ordered burgers with French fries, the fries were ordinary 😂, finally we have something to eat 😪 lucky us , never Pizza Shop Resto for us ... and we waiting now whats going on 2nd day, keep in touch 🖐

Sunscape Coco Day 1 and more to come

We came late yesterday on Dec 16, 2024. So today would be more like our first day. We are In the Sun Club. We are having the best experience. Our room is clean large and spacious. So far we ate breakfast and lunch at the Kaleidoscope buffet and it is amazing for the quality of food as well as for the air conditioning. The personnel here is amicable and very friendly. Even though most of them have Spanish as their first language, they go out of their way to speak English to you. The pool is so clean and the whole site very well taken care of. We were told at our meeting with our rep from Air Transat that there was a problem with gastro before but the government got involved and it has been fixed. The weather is beautiful. We came here as a couple but it is also great for families with children . It seems that people are all having a great time. We cannot wait to see our first evening show tonight. I will definitely come back to you on this with more details. Francine Bergeron and Gennaro (Jim) Ianniciello.

An all-inclusive resort which only stands out in the wrong ways

It is truly surprising how bad this resort is. Aside from a few employees, most of the staff seem poorly trained, or simply oblivious. The food was almost always cold and flavorless, and when I went to one of the restaurants that required a reservation, my meal was first undercooked, and then inedibly bad when it returned. The SeaPro excursions that advertise on the resort are "exaggerated", and the staff are shifty. The rooms all seem to have something wrong with them as well. The beach is open to the public, so there are always people trying to sell you things without telling you the price, all calling your friends or family. Ultimately, you can come, sit by the pool with a cold drink, and switch off for a week, but nothing about this resort in particular stands out in any positive way. You will get the same experience at any all-inclusive resort, and so I can only suggest you consider any other resort but this one.

Good enough. But not a 4 star resort.

OK. This might be long. Just left after a week. Dec 8-15. Adults only. So high season. If you've booked and you're worried...I wouldn't be, it's fine. Food is absolutely mediocre. I wasn't ever hungry but the only time I was impressed was at Sunnyside, the dominican rest. Don't skip that cause you're unfamiliar with it The buffets just aren't kept hot enough to keep the food tasty. Also nothing has any salt. If you go to the fresh stations it's better. Omelets etc. Juice is watered down like our parents did in the 80s to save money. The greatest thing until Wednesday was coco cafe. Then all of a sudden the proper espresso machine was gone and replaced with automatic machines. This was a huge let down. I'm not waiting 20 minutes for the same coffee I can get out of the machine in the lounge. I found the service wasn't fantastic and hardly worth the tips that are expected. The hotel is pretty lively and very easy to make friends. We had a problem with our first room which was building 1 on the 4th floor. That room was amazing. But the elevator broke and my mom can't walk 4 flights of stairs. I just asked when it would be fixed and 4 hours later we were moved to building 2 with a ground floor pool access room. That one wasn't updated like building 1 but was an amazing location for us. We just sat on our patio and said hi to everyone passing. If you like quiet...these rooms aren't for you. The music at the bar started at 11 and didnt stop till 11. The entertainment staff tries really hard to get people involved. It's a super small resort. From the adults only it's a super quick walk to the beach. You can haggle the price of the Bali beds pretty easily. We got it for a day for $25 usd cash. The whole resort took me 7 minutes to walk at a normal pace. People start grabbing their beach chairs about 630 am. It's unfortunate but if you can't beat them you have to join them. Then Friday came and the whole atmosphere changed. I think the locals get weekend passes. Now. Let me be clear. This is fine. We met a couple who were lovely and we had great talks about the culture and things we should see if we ever get time. The rest of the wristbands we saw...they would walk the kids through the adult only section to get to the beach constantly. The kids were walking on peoples balconies. Then we had the group of 12. One washed his clothes in the adult only pool. Including his shoes. They were obnoxiously loud. They would stare at us on our balcony. It was the first time that week I felt the NEED to not leave anything out and to deadbolt my door. The second night I actually had to go to the sunclub desk and complain about the noise they were making. It was dealt with immediately I will say. But I do think there should be more of...not security exactly...but people enforcing the rules. Nobody checks. If you want to go to kaliedoscope...nobody is checking if you're sunclub. Want the adult pool but aren't in adults only? Same. My final impression...I'm not sorry I went. I don't feel my money was wasted, but it wouldn't be my first choice to go back to.
