2 1/2 stars hotel
Sunscape Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino I was going to wait until the end of our two week stay here but due to circumstances from day one and each day there are more issues I feel it necessary to comment NOW. We came here in 2010 when the resort was called Breezes Curaçao . We loved it, the staff was friendly, helpful and very happy. The food was fantastic and the rooms comfortable. Attention was made to CUSTOMER service. Now clearly since Hyatt has taken over it's more about profit and less about making their guests happy with their choice of this resort. Every travel site lists this as ⭐⭐⭐⭐ but it's lucky if this is a ⭐⭐. Food is passable but usually cold and the restaurants with service are slow due to not enough staff. We booked a room, Junior Honeymoon suite in the Sunclub, should be building 8. We were put in building 2, right by the bandstand and close to Mambo beach which it party city. We made them move us into building 8 but in a downgraded room with no offer of compensation. Have you ever seen a shower setup for two doors, one stationary and the other on sliding and the stationary one doesn't exist. Can you say floor puddling?! Apparently they are all like that in this building. There are no wrist bands so anyone can go up to the Sunclub The internet is terrible and drops all the time. The front desk attitudes are terrible and you immediately feel that they don't care The beach is the best if you can get a spot. We will never come back to this resort again due to all these issues.

Amazing beaches, Sub-optimal room conditions and service.
I traveled here with a group of 17 people among 9 rooms, and 5 of the rooms had notable deficiencies. This ranged from the sink leaking on the floor, to no hot water in the shower, to non-flushable toilets, along with a notable difference of AC strength in different rooms. The room service also took several hours, if it even showed up at all, assuming anyone would pickup when you called. This was a consistent & reoccurring issue. After these issues grew in number, they were brought to the attention of the resort manager, who did everything in her power to ensure we were taken care of for the rest of our stay. Despite her kindness & willingness to rectify these issues, some problems still prevailed. Despite this however, the beaches were absolutely amazing, and in very close proximity to the resort. Most of the staff were very friendly and willing to ensure we had a nice stay. I would absolutely stay in Curacao again, as the water and beaches are gorgeous and the local food is to die for, but the Sunscape resort wouldn't be my first pick.

Heavily used “Motel” Sunscape Resort Curacao & Spa
The hotel is very old, it wouldn't be a problem if it was maintained. Everything is heavily used, the sunbeds on the beach are disgusting and need replacing. Very few umbrellas under which one could hide from the sun. Overall, there are very few sunbeds, my husband had to get up every day at 5:30 so that we had a place to lie by the sea! Otherwise, by 6:30 all the sunbeds were already occupied and that's because there are simply not enough of them! The hotel simply needs to be invested in, the incompetent manager fired, the food and fruit selection improved, the cheapest fruit like banana was simply not available regularly. Lemon for drinks was simply not available regularly! There was no mint, no limes, there was always a shortage of everything. The hotel owner simply sucks money from tourists, but does not invest back! The hotel is at the level of a cheap motel by the highway. We would never go back in our lives and we strongly warn against visiting this hotel everywhere on social networks.

Good experience, amazing beach.
Gorgeous beach, great location, next to famous Mambo beach and short drive to downtown Willemstad. Hotel needs renovations, but the pool area is well maintained and very nice, overlooking the beach. Average food, but very good service. Nice touch with the coffee bar (and cookies) and ice-cream kiosk. Would return for the right price.
