Nov 24, 2024The worst Mexico trip I’ve been on yet!
I’ll start off by saying I love Mexico and try to visit twice a year. To date I have not visited the same location in Mexico twice. Sunscape was my worst experience, the weather was amazing, all of the serving staff were great but this resort needs to seriously step it up in a lot of areas. We stayed for 9 days … the entire time the outdoor chairs were not cleaned…. Including a dirty bandaid that was stuck to the one chair and never removed. There were 2 days out of our trip where they had a Maintnance guy using a grinder to polish or sand the top of the pool decking creating so much dust I ended up with an asthma attack and our friends travelling with us had to go back to their room until it was done. The food selection is very limited you get to choose from 2 restaurants and the buffet which the food on the menu is very limited and nothing special, good luck getting any steak. We chose to pay extra for the sun club .. lucky we did or we would have had to wait in a massive line just to get breakfast. There is a night club across the street which operates until 4:00AM with the loudest music possible so 2 of the nights my husband and I went without any sleep because of that and 2 other nights were restless because the fan for our AC was rattling very loudly all night. The staff were all very kind and friendly … the only part of this trip that I can say was good, definitely not their fault for any of the concerns I have as I know they are doing their absolute best. Oh.. if you book an ocean view room it’s not a full ocean view you get a tiny slice of a view from your room, so if that’s something you enjoy you will need to upgrade by paying an extra $400 USD to get that perk that you already thought you were paying for when you booked ocean view on the web.

Tony and Alicia are the best. Food is ok not the best. But the service is absolutely the best. Also Emanuel, Ignacio. The beach is awesome. The rooms are nice and clean. We had ocean front. It's worth to upgrade it to the sunclub program. Better liquor

Great people at the sunscape’
Alicia Misael was a super star server at the Sunclub. One day I left my hat there and she brought it over to our cabana for me! She was kind, funny and would make sure we got what we wanted and needed in a very timely manner with the cutest smile. Odete and Pedro in the Sunclub Lounge were fantastic also. Since the service was so great, we skipped going to the buffet and had breakfast there everyday. It made our vacation even more delightful. Thank you so much all of you 😎👍

Sun Club Lounge staff, Alicia, Pedro, Misael, Ignacio, Emanuel and Odette. The service was above and beyond. Thank you so much. Dianette U Lounge Coordinator, was very helpful and kind. She arranged a fun birthday celebration!! She showed great attention to detail upon arrival and departure.

Unfortunately we (couples) and our friends did not have a real good experience at Sunscape. All the restaurants were not open and there was not much of a choice of different foods. Very crowed with local day passers and not full vacation expectations you would like to have on a large holiday. The hotel is rundown and needs some serious update renovations. Its to bad as we were all really looking forward to this trip and rarely complain about anything. We have been to some other exceptional places in Mexico but this is not one of them.
