Bring bandages, you’re gonna cut your feet in the pool.
The pool here is dangerous. The bottom is all damaged and cut peoples feet daily. The whole place needs so many repairs, it should be shut down. The buffet is 2 star at best. Rooms are big but low end. I’ve stayed at places for less and got more for my money. Kids area is not open for the times listed. Can’t get a drink before 11am. Not enough chairs. Garbage everywhere. I think they forgot they have a mini putt area. The water in the pool is too low that the filter system doesn’t work properly. Was very disappointed. Wasted $8800. BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. wish I listened to the other reviews and didn’t think it can’t be that bad.

Espectacular vacacion
My husband and I came here last month for our vacation. Our first time in Mexico. We have friends who go to Puerto Vallarta regularly, so decided to give it a shot. After researching various resorts that fit our quick get-away budget, we decided to stay here. We were happy with our choice to stay at this resort for our first time in Puerto Vallarta. The rooms were what we expected, not too fancy, but clean. Every day there were events from kayaking, bingo, horseshoes, volleyball, pool games, Zumba, cooking classes, silent party (I loved this!), shows, movie nights, night markets by the pool, live music, karaoke, and various other activities. For families with children, they also had a daily program for kids. The Entertainment Team was very engaging. Everyone had an energetic, positive vibe. Allen in particular was hilarious and very enthusiastic! We really enjoyed Bingo with him and playing horseshoes. He was fun to talk to, and get to know. The World Cafe restaurant staff provided good service, and the buffet food was what we expected. The Tiki Taco restaurant was okay, but kind of hoped there would be vegetarian or fish taco options. We mostly ate at Da Mario for dinner, and the World Cafe for breakfast and lunch. We didn’t eat at the Snack Machine, but it was a popular spot. The alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options were good. The cafe that was open 24hrs was a nice spot to grab a quick coffee and snack. Fernando at Da Mario was outstanding! We had him as our server our last two nights at the resort. On our last night, he had a special dessert made for us, and we tried the Cafe de Fuego, which was so cool to see them make! Highly recommend! Fernando was kind, helpful, and provided exceptional customer service. The desk staff were okay - they weren’t as friendly as the Entertainment team and restaurant staff. At checkout, when we were trying to figure out how the transfer to the airport works, no one seemed to know, which was quite stressful. Also, the wifi was pretty terrible, so beware if you need stable internet for anything. Overall, this was a very good resort for the value. It’s a good place to go as a couple, or with family as there are lots of options for places to eat - which include pescatarian options, a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and lots of entertainment almost every hour of every single day! As someone who speaks advanced Spanish, I had plenty of opportunities to converse regularly, especially with Fernando and Allen, which I really appreciated!

Fantastic family vacation at Sunscape!
We had a great time—clean rooms, delicious food, and the kids loved it. Special thanks to the amazing Kids Club team (Diana, Sandra, Georgina, Valeria, Nayeli) and housekeeping lady Maura for keeping our room spotless. Highly recommended!

Family Trip
The resort itself isn't as updated and elevators weren't working half the time but we had a great time celebrating my mom's birthday at Sunscape resorts. Some of the staff members made our trip very memorable. Ricardo, manager of the Da'Mario was amazing! He took care of our family whenever we went to eat there and maxe sure we felt extra special. He even sat us at a special table and was our server himself. Food was amazing at the restaurant also. Andres, manager of the Seaside Grill restaurant and Julio, our server, also gave us great service as well when we ate there. They went the extra mile to make sure we had a great dinner. We booked professional family photos at the resort and Rocio, our photographer is the BEST. She made us feel comfortable and had us laughing a lot during our session which made for some great candid photos. Her work is amazing and I definitely reccommend booking a session with her if you're there!

SUNSCAPE PUERTO VALLARTA
I took a group of 34 people to Puerto Vallarta in March 2025 and some of us spent a week at the Sunscape while others were lucky enough to spend 2 weeks there. I cannot say enough about the staff at the Sunscape. I have traveled the world and I don't think I've ever met a more friendly, fun, smiling and accommodating staff than the ones at the Sunscape. I would like to acknowledge the following in particular : Erika & Renardo who put on a fantastic birthday surprize for me, went above and beyond with decorating the room by Erika, Renardo our outstanding waiter in the Italian restaurant, where we enjoyed le petit Chef, (an experience every should try at least once). The steak dinner was fabulous along with a beautiful birthday cake. Ended the evening with Spanish Coffee that was just an amazing work of art the way Renardo presented it. Would also like to mention Vernice and Caty who worked in the buffet restaurant, always a wonderful smile on the face, greeted us by our first names, just such a pleasure to have met these 2 wonderful ladies as well. If I could name all the staff in the restaurants by name, I would as they were all superb! Also special mention goes out to Christian part of the entertainment staff, who led the arobics most days, and seemed to work 15 hours a day! After spending 2 weeks at your lovely resort, I can now see why I have clients that have been returning there yearly for the past 10 years. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU! Now a little about the resort, the food was great, the rooms and all of the hotel were kept very clean, but some of the rooms were a bit tired. One complaint that most of the group had, was there weren't enough chairs around the pool nor the beach area.
