outstanding long weekend getaway-checked all the boxes!
My wife and i stayed at the Tamarijn in October. It was amazing. We've been to Mexico multiple times, Jamaica, Turks & Caicos (twice), Bahamas, and Dominican Republic. Aruba is second overall for us only to the Turks, and this was probably our favorite resort of any we've stayed in as to the resort itself. As to some of the negative reviews, I think some people just like to find something to complain about.... The food was outstanding--some of the best we've had at an all inclusive. The weather was spectacular. The water amazing and beautiful. The service was great. The beach bar was fantastic. The staff was friendly. The casino was a blast. The shuttle service between the Tamajarin and the adjacent sister resort (where the casino is) was efficient and easy. Also easy to catch a cab and ride into town for shopping and other restaurants. Our room was clean and the a/c worked well. It is not a glamorous room with exquisite furnishings, but come on, you're staying at an all inclusive moderately priced resort, not a 5-star hotel. So you may ask, are there any negatives? I mean, not really, or not if you've done any research and know what to expect..... Yes, the beach is smallish. But the sand water was amazing, and beach/sand/water is always our main factor. Yes, it can be a challenge to get a chair if you're not up early for it (but also note a lot of folks vacate their chairs around lunch, and getting a chair after lunch is a breeze. And yes, if you want a beach in front of your room (vs. rocks) you need to be in buildings 19 and up. 19 is right by the beach bar, and there's actually a shade tree right there. Buildings 20-23 would be my recommendation, i think we were in building 21. The entertainment was on the weak side, but that's not why we go on these trips. And bear in mind its not a giant resort to begin with, so have reasonable expectations about entertainment--if you're expecting some big floor show or production like at some of the very large resorts in Mexico, you've chosen the wrong place. We would 100% and without hesitation happily return, and may do so again this year.

Nice resort but terrible rocks on the beach.
The first thing you notice at the Tamarijn is the beach, or lack there of. The oceanside of the hotel is all large rocks; an attempt at a seawall to try to stop erosion. The pictures the hotel shows on the website does not show this at all. These are not the kind of rocks you go over in water shoes. The waves are such that it would be dangerous to try to climb over them to the water. You had to walk 1/4 mile to the white sandy beach shown in the website pictures. This is a large public beach where it is very difficult to find any shade at all. The sand and the water are perfect, though. When I spend thousands of dollars to stay at a beach resort, I want the beach outside my door. The resort was nice, but there was a lot of walking. We never used the golf carts to get back and forth between the Divi and Tamarijn.

E-Bike/Snorkeling Tour
We wanted to give a big shout out to Zep and Donny at the activity center. Zep went above and beyond helping our group of 6 sign up for the tour. Both showed great concern for the groups safety before and during our adventure. They did a wonderful job of pointing out various fish and sea turtles during the 45 minute snorkeling portion of our tour. Thank you for all you did.

E-bike and snorkeling tour
This was my 7th time at the resort and it did not disappoint! We did the E-bike and snorkel tour, which is included in your stay! Zef and Donny were amazing and super fun tour guides! It’s a work out but worth it! We saw 4 sea turtles and amazing fish.

Great stay at a beautiful all inclusive resort
We had an amazing 4 night stay at your resort. Food was excellent, no long waits and super friendly staff. Highly recommend for a beautiful, easy escape. We were able to eat at most of the restaurants on property- club Margot and the red parrot were our favorites.
