    Loved, Loved, Loved the Nacar for our recent stay

    Just returned from 11 days at the Nacar in Cartagena and we LOVED our stay there. For the record, it was our first trip to Caragena and we really labored over where to stay, looking at dozens of spots online and reading all the reviews. Fortunately we settled on NACAR and it was perfect. A few reasons one: 1. the location is GREAT. just inside the walled city, you are out of the main chaos (e.g., hard-core touristy areas) but right by the walls (I ran every AM) and several awesome squares with excellent restaurants. we loved the location for being simultaneously in the city but not in the more intense parts. 2. the hotel itself is gorgeous. it's small-ish with a very boutique vibe. on our first glance at the roottop bar and pool, we thought 'huh, that's fine' and then we just fell in love with being up there. it's absolutely stunning in a slightly under-stated way - tons of foliage and great music and just a terrific chill place to spend time. 3. the staff are the best. being there for so long, we hit up the front desk many times for many things (more shampoo, help getting somewhere, random questions). everyone was just amazing - very kind, knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. If I could go to Cartagena tomorrow and stay at the Nacar for longer, I'd be there in a heartbeat. Can't wait to get back.

    Decent hotel for within walled city of Cartagena

    Review Hilton garden Nacar Cartagena Boutique hotel in old city within the walls. Very close to all the hustle bustle. Smallish rooms Staff quite inflexible. Not the friendliest. Pool is long but small No gym Rooftop restaurant has terrible food, very expensive and takes a long time to get your order. At night this becomes a party place be aware. Breakfast is average for such a hotel. Limited bottled water. Be aware that there are two locations on Google maps which are about a block apart.

    Amazing hotel

    If you can book this hotel - I would do so! The hotel is a boutique style hotel but very beautiful! If you have a suite or larger room you will be in a separate building but I didn’t find it as an inconvenience- it was nice as I was with my boyfriend and we enjoyed the peace. The staff was amazing, the rooftop pool while small, it was nice and really pretty. Very central to everything and easy to walk around. Would highly suggest for anyone who is visiting Cartagena to stay here!

    Beyond Fabulous!

    Outstanding hotel with exceptional service! Stayed in the building with the suites. It far exceeds my expectations. Absolutely beautiful room! Maria and Freddy at the front desk were great in assisting me with checkin and pre arrival concerns. Fabian at the breakfast bar was very gracious and assisted me through the different dishes on the buffet. Would strongly recommend this property to anyone coming to Cartagena.

    Great stay in Nacar, Cartagena!

    High quality hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The team were responsive to all of our requests and the quality of the breakfast was excellent. It if off a quiet street but also close to lot so f restaurants and bars. Highly recommended for couples.
