Experience nuisance.

Unfortunately wanted to entertain friends for a evening nightcap in suite balcony room only to be met by establishment host denying them entry. Had previously stayed here in the past and generally it is a good place to stay. Ideally located next to beach.

Another Wonderful Stay at the Fives Oceanfront

Had another wonderful stay at this amazing boutique hotel. It was very relaxing and re-energizing even with our little one. Everyone was friendly and the service was fantastic, especially Maria. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Great place, but definitely needs improvements in areas!

First off, we've been to this property before and a family member actually owns one of the condo's. The first experience we had here, was nothing short of AMAZING! This time, left much to be lacking. Mostly in the food category. THE GOOD- First off, the super stars at this place are bartenders Sebastian and Fidel! These two single handedly made our trip great. No only are they great at their craft, but they're also great people! The property is great, but is starting to show signs of wear. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Food for the most part was good, but we will get into that soon. My wife and I love being in a pool, with an oceanview and a beach. We aren't big beach people. So, the rooftop pool is where we are everyday and this pool is AMAZING. THE BAD- The restaurants have issues and the managers need to figure it out!! First off, only 1 place open per night. That's not sufficient when the resort is full. EXPECT wait times when trying to get your name in, about an hour. NO RESERVATIONS is a huge MISS. You make people wait for unexpected amounts of time, that can get really late into the night. Expect all meals, yes, even lunch, to take over 1.5-2+ hours. This is absolutely uncalled for and frankly made my wife and I not want to go eat and waste precious time on vacation. We had multiple servers and the only one that really seemed like he cared was Carlos so I appreciate that. Otherwise I would literally have to get up and get my own beer because the server wouldn't come back to the table at all. They did open the rooftop for lunch towards the end of our trip but it only has a handful of little munchies like guac and pico, and 1 sandwich(pulled pork). Although we did appreciate this because we could order, and just got eat when ready. But after day 2 we wanted something different. One meal we had for supper the food was definitely pre-plated and cold as it only took 3 min between food items. Our fridge didn't work but they did get it fixed after 3 days. Which things happen and thats out of their control. -At the end of the day, I can't say I'd shy people away from this place! But, I would shy them away from the all-inclusive package unfortunately. It just takes far too long and the food didn't really WOW us like it did last time. I'd highly recommend going into town to eat, you wont be disappointed! One thing I would say too, they need more lounge chairs. By 7:30 80% of the beach chairs were covered(which we didn't care to sit on the beach), but the rooftop filled quickly. They could definitely add 10 or so up there.

Sucky hotel experience

I would put zero stars for this hotel it's in a very crappy location it's supper expensive and there is only one restaurant open at a time super stupid we had to wait 2 hrs with my family that was hungry and paid tons of money. Don't go here for the money you pay.

Fives Oceanfront is the place to stay in Puerto Morelos

This was our second visit to the Fives. It is a fine property although getting a bit tired. Thanks to Bernice for giving us a room on the quiet side of the hotel. Service was a bit slow on the beach. Rooftop pool is a real plus but could use more lounge chairs. Love the walk into town. Sargassum was a problem in mid March. Recent sargassum barriers should help. Probably the best place to stay in Puerto Morelos. Taxi to the airport was $40.00.
