Not worth the price.
Treasure Beach Hotel has the potential of being a real asset to the area. Unfortuneatley the rooms are drab and dilapidated. We waited 8 hours for clean towels, we had no hot water for 2 days and the bathroom door had been removed. The toilet flooded and when I complained that the insect screen had been removed from our entrance, I was told to keep the doors shut. The fan was extremely loud and rickety. On the plus side the view from our room was beautiful and the staff were lovely but underpaid and over worked. There are cheaper hotels locally with a much higher specification.

My stay at Treasure Beach Hotel
My stay at Treasure Beach Hotel was very relaxing and the food is superb! Jennifer Brown was very patient with me as I thought I lost my way many times as I drove down in the night. Staff is friendly and it is worth the money! Downside.....they need to offer more Jamaican breakfast options such as salt mackerel, liver etc..... Keep up the good work staff at Treasure Beach!

Nice
Things are a little run down, but clean accommodations. They were working on getting the pools back in shape. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Beautiful property, but there are a lot of steps, if you have any mobility issues beware.

Great hotel at frenchman bay in treasure beach
Directly at the beach; good service, near to other restaurants and bars (of course they have a good bar and restaurant, too) Treasure beach is a secret escape without that mass tourism like in ochod rios or montego bay!

very poor management
It's really unfortunate because this could be a great place if the management took better care of it. We had been going there for years because we liked the location and the large swimming pool. Because there had been problems in the past we called before we left to ask if the problems with the pool had been fixed and was assured that it had. Unless you like swimming amongst scum and dead salamanders and all kinds of other debris the pool is unusable. This was especially egregious since we had purposely asked about it beforehand and was lied to. The mild mannered manager kept telling us it would be cleaned each day at 7 but it never was. Occasionally a groundskeeper would skim the water with a basket (a procedure that took a very long time because he did it in slow motion) but an hour later it needed to be done again while he sat under a tree talking on his cel. Several guests asked the manager to have him do this throughout the day and although she said she would, it never happened. We felt ripped off, especially because this was a problem that could have easily been solved if the manager had been on top of it Later we spoke to several local business owners who told us that yes, this hotel has a reputation for being badly managed because the owner has another means of livelihood somewhere else and just doesn't care Some of the staff is really nice so we feel badly that there are so few guests but. I would not advise going here. Our hope is that someone else purchases this property who appreciates it....and appreciates their guests as well
