Nov 21, 2024Great trip—wonderful service and friendship from Are and Manuel.
We had a great week with beautiful weather! Are and Manuel made sure we had everything we needed from dinner reservations to sunscreen at the pool. They checked in with our family frequently and it was great to se their friendly faces again this year! Such a special trip bringing our kids to Puerto Morelos for the first time and we hope to return again soon!

Another incredible vacation at El Cid!
We love El Cid! We've been going to El Cid since 2017 and have always had a great experience. As always, the service was great and the staff is so accomodating and friendly. Speaking of staff, our butlers Manuel Diaz and Are Mendez are world class. If you have the privilage to have the butler service while at El Cid, do yourself a favor and ask for these two guys. Even though there are other El Cid locations that we can vacation at, we continue to select the Marina or Ventus because we know we will have Manuel and Are. They are so very helpful and as nice of guys as you could ever meet. We consider them part of the family and enjoy getting to see them a couple times a year. El Cid has a couple gems in these two guys.

Nov 21, 2024Sales Pitch Ruined an Entire Day
The resort is beautiful and clean but I was very disappointed that the sales pitch consumed half of my first day of vacation after being told it wouldn't last longer than 40 minutes. Additionally, there were scheduling issues with our activities.
