I went to Ventus at Marina El Cid with my wife, my son and his family. For the most part we had a very nice vacation, although I think services and quality of food were not up to the quality of the past. I did have one big problem on Feb, 19. At about 11 am I called the marina to see if they had any large boats available to charter. They said they did so we went down to take a 4 hr. charter. I went in to fill out the paperwork which included the names and ages of everyone on the trip which included two four-year-olds and one eight-year-old. After I paid for the trip we went out to meet the captain and mate at the boat. When boarding the boat the captain asked if the people in the office had told us that the ocean was very rough that day especially for the young kids. The marina is protected by a Getty so the water was very calm there. We left to check it out and I had to have them go back after only 45 minutes. The kids and even my daughter in law were getting sick. There were 4 to 6 foot swells. The next day I got a phone call from the El Cid main office on an unrelated issue and I told the rep what happened, and he said was going to try to get me a refund but I never heard back. I have been a Platinum member of El Cid for 10 years and think I should have been treated with more respect. JUST BE CAREFULL WHAT YOU BUY AT EL CID Charlie DeMarco

We had a great time. the butlers Alma and Hugo were awesome. Alma has been a great help to me every time I go there. I have been going every year since 2019. Just met Hugo this year and he was contacting me daily and asking if there was anything I needed and to let me know he was available. Cannot ask for better butlers. Also, one of the chefs, Roger, amazing. I got since within a couple of days after arriving and couldn't eat and I asked and he made me a simple chicken soup. It was the only thing my stomach could hold. Totally appreciate it. Most of the staff are very helpful and pleasant. The only thing I would like to see more is some type of nightly entertainment for adults such as music and dancing. I remember them having some type of entertainment like that in 2019. Then it stopped. Why? I want to go for more than one week but it becomes boring if there's no nightly entertainment for me and my husband. Without kids. Adults only. Nothing dirty. Music and dancing that's all. Thanks

Great vacation
My husband and I, along with our daughter and her partner just spent 3 weeks at Marina El Cid in Puerto. We had a great time, had very nice ocean view rooms (we had a 1 bedroom, while our daughter had a studio), we were in bldg 14. We are members and enjoy our vacation every year to Puerto Morelos. , Our butlers were Cali Medina and Ivan Garcia and they were great at checking in with us every day, giving us updatesof the days and eveningactivities. If we needed anything they were just a text away and took great care of us. We had the best weather for all 3 weeks only 1 cloudy cooler day (77 degrees), most days it was above 85 degrees. We look forward to our visit next year.

El Cid review from the Ahrens
The resort is beautiful with lots of pools and nice ocean front to walk in the sand or in the warm ocean water. Our butlers Luis and Noah were so helpful and they were there to assist if we needed anything in our room or to help with reservations. We love coming to El Cid because everyone makes you feel at home. It is a great place to relax and get away. Great amenities, great entertainment, a wonderful spa and so much more. We thoroughly enjoyed the Mayan dinner experience. Many great memories on this trip

Platinum level experience
Upgrading to the Platinum level is worth the price. The personal focus, especially with the assignment of our personal butlers, Luis & Noah, was exceptional! Their help in obtaining dinner reservations and arranging transportation in this vast resort complex was paramount in our wonderful experience!
