    Excellent Service

We spent a week at the resort and it had everything we needed right on site. We particularly loved the beachside service provided by Misael Guzman. He was excellent at ensuring we had all we could eat and drink as well as any chair or umbrella requests. We sat in his area three days and were never disappointed! Exceptional work Misael!

    Ok Stay

Stayed at VDP for 7 days. Checkin is super slow. The first room they put us in smelled like mildew so we asked to change and they said it would be $150 per day. After some pushing they moved us to a different room. The second room was much better, 8th floor with Mountain View. Service was slow for the first 5 days but our last day it seemed to pickup. You have to sign a receipt after everything order even with all inclusive so be sure to ask for it before you ready to actually leave otherwise you’ll be sitting for 30 minutes waiting for it. Pool chairs fill up early and fast. We went to breakfast on our first day and wanted to lay by the pool afterwards but all the chairs were gone by 8:30. People are putting towels and items to reserve chairs at 6am even though they’re not supposed to do that. We realized that if you tell Alberto, the pool concierge, that you don’t have a seat, he will find a seat for you that hasn’t been occupied for sometime and remove towels and such from chairs. He was the best. Pool service was great. Nico was fantastic. Carbon was the best restaurant on the property. Service was fast and food was great. Daniel was our server 2 nights in a row and he was fantastic. The manager had a presence in the restaurant and you could tell by how smooth everything ran. Overall, it was an ok stay. We’ve stayed at Arco and VDP Cancun and those were great so we love the villa group just not this one.

    Great staff!

A beautiful resort. Big fluffy towels, very clean rooms. The staff are friendly, polite, and helpful. The wood fire pizza at the Pizza Bar is some of the best ever. Diego is the best bartender, very friendly. We see him every time we are here. At Carbon’s, we had the best table. Thank you, Diego!

    Amazing time in Cabo!

What a great family vacation at Villa del Palmar! We loved the entertainment staff - especially Chloe, Jeremy, Alberto, and Fran, paddle boarding and kayaking with Omar, poolside service from Mauricio, and the incredible omelette/pancake/waffle chef at Bella! The nightly shows were so well done, and there was entertainment and fun all day long from yoga to water volleyball and aerobics to bingo. Gracias!

    Would not recommend to anybody

Every single staff member I met and spoke to except for two, Alberto the pool concierge and the bell men, were the most unhelpful and rude resort employees I have ever encountered. Alberto and the bell men are the only reason I had somewhat of a nice time, they are fabulous. I had high hopes because I didn’t look at the most recent reviews. Food took 1+ hours after ordering to arrive at every restaurant. We bought a cabana hoping this would help the excessive wait times and lack of lounge chairs, but to no avail, we waited 45 mins for a sparkling water and a beer after spending extra money. People wake up as early as 4AM to reserve a lounge chair and there is no regulation regarding this. Some chairs sat empty for most of the day and nothing was done about this. The all inclusive experience was tarnished by the fact that everything has a price listed on the menu and they make you sign a check every time you order anything. Our last dinner at Carbon was the cherry on top. Our waiter hassled my friend who we added, and PAID FOR, about his room number which was the same as ours, asking three times before telling me “I heard you” with an eye roll. The security guards at the gate also like to talk loudly in Spanish about the guests entering. It’s important to note that many people can understand Spanish and what they’re saying. Absolutely avoid this overcrowded mess.
