    In-suite dining (dinner) experience

In-suite dining (dinner) experience Waiter-Alberto Chef-Susana Supervisor-Victor The food and service was excellent. I was concerned it would be awkward to have strangers cooking and serving a meal in the room. It wasn’t. We had a relaxed meal chatting with friends while Victor, Alberto, and Susana took care of us. I highly recommend it.

    Sun and sand

We liked the resort. Our original room was very noisy so requested a change. They gave us a new room but then lots of confusion. Ie they gave us a room # so we checked that location & were happy. But when we went to get rekeyed they tried to give us a different room.

Special shout outs to some special family at our Home Resort.

We were at our resort for 10 days in November and 7 days in December with family. Once again Villa delivered. Top notch service. We made some Good friends that helped us make special memories both times. Special recognition goes to Miguel , our favorite bartender (flanked by Concho and Yair), Cesar and Ignacio made our breakfasts the highlights of our days and we made sure to sit with them each morning unless they had the nerve to take a day off. Class acts , all of them. Last night we dined at La Casona and were thrilled with Priciliano, who is a definate asset to the resort.

    Terrible,

Don’t go to this hotel, and if you go don’t bring anything the stole my Apple Watch, on the pool area, the employee was serving some drinks and took the watch from the table, we shoe the gap to the manager and they just was disrespectful, not helping us at all, they didn’t review the cameras, they didn’t help us, and we show them the location of the watch, they didn’t want to call the police, they just told this was under investigation 2 days after we arrive to Atlanta they told me is nothing that they can do, because the cameras was not working, terrible experience we lost a 1000 usd watch, on this hotel work really not honest people, you can find better hotels and less expensive

    A upscale experience

This was our 3rd different VDP property we stayed at. Each one is similar but unique in their own way. At no time have we ever left disappointed. What differentiates this property from the others is the beach and overall quality of the food. Breakfast was a standard buffet with a Mexican flair. The smoothies and the omelet station had a great selection. We found after a couple of days it was more relaxing to order the room service and chill. Lunch at the beach or pool was ok- food came delivered “warmish” . We found going to the two restaurants that were open provided a higher level of selections. Dinner- for us in order of favorites- Zama- La Casona ( be careful of the upcharges !!!)- Davino. Dinner buffet was only open 2 nights of our 6 night stay. Most of the desserts were average though the tamale chocolate at Zama was outstanding. Adrian at the bar by La Casona was one of the best bartenders I have encountered. We sat there every night before dinner to talk with him and ask him to make us something special with the spirits of choice for that evening. Some hints- if you are receiving resort credits- don't assume it will be on your final bill-you need to tell the front desk that when you check out ( keep reservation doc with the info ) - wines are average unless you upgrade to a bottle (or half bottle)-for a group of 2-3 take a uber back to airport -even though you may have AI please leave tip including maid service. Finally- for the best rate sign up to receive VDP emails. We originally reserved with CostCo- two week before our trip we received a email from VDP for Cyber week special and saved almost $1200- if you call the reservation department they will take off a additional 5-10%
