Awesome year after year
Just returned Feb 1/25. We have been visiting LDL for many years and have always had the best time. If you need something ask for it and they will do their best to get it done for you 😁 From the office staff to the cleaning ladies to the ground keepers all working together to make our vacation one to remember. Love this place we fondly refer to as our “place in paradise “. See you next year!!

Villas Luz de Luna
Luz de Luna is a reasonably priced, cozy, friendly place to spend an Huatulco vacation. The grounds and units are well maintained - the units are spacious and basic with full kitchens and decent beds. The pool is lovely and seems to be the social centre of the resort. Staff is accommodating, responsive and friendly. The resort is an easy walk to Playa Arrocito, a good swimming and snorkelling beach

Amazing Location and Value
We had four beautiful days at Villas Luz de Luna after fleeing from the nice but noisy town of La Crucecita. Our apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable with a fully functional kitchen. The walking proximity to beautiful, snorkel and swimable PIaya Arrocito and the ocean views from the wonderful infinity pool are great. The Villas Luz de Luna has kitchens but no restaurant but Playa Arrocito has a shady place to eat, and there's a little hamburger joint near the convenient taxi station. When you go to the local beach, be sure to try the Camarones al Ajo at the little beachfront restaurant. Keep in mind that once you sit down in a shady spot and buy something, you can stay for the day so enjoy yourself! If you are there for a few days, talk to the front office about arranging a bay tour by boat. They can arrange a wonderful excursion that includes snorkeling and transport to and from the marina. We were lucky up to see humpback whales on our trip.

Negative experience
I have spent two months in this Resort from the beginning of January to the end of February 2018. I made reservation through Expedia and in spite the offer was inclusive of daily cleaning this service has been offered only twice a week. The maintenance of the “villa”( n 3) is really poor: kitchen is dirty, sofás are full of stains one bathroom has been overflown for 3 times. I have taken photos of all these inconveniences. It si really a pity because the Resort is in a very pleasant zone of Huatulco(Arrocito), very colse to a small beach and has a beautifull view of the sea from the swimming pool.

Needs TLC and better customer service.
This property has so much potential, however it has been neglected. We stayed in a Villa and the furniture was filthy and downstairs bathroom was out of service. We we not discounted and in fact charged 900 pesos for our additional person. When we we're charged the front desk person refused though to give more than 5 towels saying the place was only supposed to accommodate that amount. So they charged me extra but provided nothing extra. In fact provided less with a broken bathroom. We requested linens to cover the filthy furniture. Had to demand drinking water and the kitchen was useless when it came to cooking. Plan on taking taxi back and forth to town. The property was beautiful and we used the pool a lot. We rarely used the house as there is only A/C in the bedrooms.
