Fantastic resort!!!
This resort is fantastic. The food was first class. The shows really well done. Giselle the Entertainment manager is one of the hardest working people I know. I have to mention some of the five star staff we met. Fernando, Carlos (Roberto), Jose, Ivan, Mauricio, Jimena and Dayreth were incredible at their jobs and making people feel at home. There was always something to do or you could just relax. Bike rental was free and there’s a great 6 kilometre trail. The gym has everything you need. There’s a great paddle ball court on the roof. Plus the bartender in the main bar Cristian makes a great dirty martini. Crescencio the waiter on the beach is so fast and service oriented. Wonderful people. Beds were super comfy. Fitness and stretch was super fun too!!! 😊

Tiny resort, cozy and full of vegetation.
Viva Azteca, a hidden gem, a tiny resort and cozy, full of vegetation, and a beautiful white sand beach, full of palm trees. The food was great, excellent customer service, and clean and renovated rooms. No reservations are needed for a la carte, and the food was beyond our expectations. The alcohol seemed to be a bit watered down, we had a Gin & tonic at the Viva Maya and I could feel the alcohol on that one. Be aware that your mini fridge gets filled one time with pop only, and you have a carafe to get filtered water from the dispenser located on each floor. The only thing that wasn't perfect, but this is not the management's fault, was the erosion of the shore. We did not mind walking 20-30 meters to the right side and entering the water from the next-door resort, Alegro Playacar. Apparently, this was a winter issue, the shore level should retract in the spring. We were there during the second week of January and it was not the seaweed season. You could see few one day, but the current was moving them quickly to the next resort. We booked a catamaran trip to Isla Mujeres from the guys selling activities on the beach, highly recommended. We bargained and we paid $90person. You have a snorkeling session included but that was more of a 500m swimming with nothing else to see besides seaweeds. I would recommend Viva Azteca by Wyndham to anyone.

Would come back
We had an excellent time - good food especially at the buffet. It's clear that a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to make the experience positive for everyone. The animation team was also a lot of fun! Kudos to Enrique, Mauricio and Jonathan :)

¡FULFILLING EXPERIENCE!
The best holiday trip i had by far, Viva Azteca was the best choice we could have ever made for our first time visiting México. Hope to be back here soon. Mauricio, Jimena, Dayreth, Jonathan, DJ Enrique, Giselle, Eleonora and the rest of the dancers/entartaining team were amazing filling our stay with joy and making grey days brighter! My special mention goes to Edilzar Aguilar Pinto, the most attentive and caring waiter in the resort. Works with his heart, remembering all the details and needs of every single guest he serves. Really remarkable of him. Going back home with a full heart and coming back as soon as we can🩷🥹
