Easy going
This resort has a relaxed vibe. We didn't receive any information when we checked in so we learned things as we went along. Luckily we booked dinner reservations after we checked in so we got to go to all three restaurants. They were all pretty good. Our room was fine. It was pretty basic. We had a deck and an ocean view. The bed was comfortable. The maid service was very good and we always had enough towels. I see comments about the hot water in the showers- we had to run the water for a few minutes before the water got warm enough to take a shower, but we always had hot water. The buffet food was OK. Some meals we thought were very good, others, meh. I loved the garlic in olive oil and used it on my salads and bread. Their spaghetti was pretty good too. My husband liked the eggs at breakfast. I took the yoga classes daily with Linda. She was an excellent teacher and I'm glad to have been under her teachings. Thank you for bringing her in. My husband even joined in two classes! The beach was amazing. We got to sail one day, snorkel one day and bike one day. We walked the beaches a lot, and my husband played volleyball. We joined in Bingo and other games a couple of times. Live music nightly- the musician was great and we danced a few times! Karaoke was fun too. The entertainment staff was talented, and the wait staff was very friendly and efficient. All and all, not a luxurious vacation, which we knew it would not be, but relaxing and fun.

Fun and relaxing. Great people, great fun, great experience.
As is Freeport, this resort is very laid back and easy. Freeport is not a metropolis, so don't expect high city living here. You go for the beach and the experiences. The best things at the resort- 1. The beach, swimming, snorkeling, walking, kayaking, sailing and seeing sting rays. 2. The yoga classes on the beach with Linda daily at 10:00 were amazing, and a great way to start the days. 3. The entertainment. The staff was energetic and friendly. The trapeze was fun, as was Bingo, darts, dancing, cooking demonstration and other games. The nightly music was great, as were the shows. 4. We also biked, and went to the Lucayan market, to Tony Macaroni's Conch Stand, to Pier One and fed the sharks, to Banana Bay and to the gardens. Nearby on the beach there is a pig experience and you can also rent jet skis. 5. The people! The staff, as well as the guests were very friendly, happy and fun!!! They really helped to make our vacation a great experience. 6. As far as the resort itself, it was fine. Nothing grand or exotic. It was the springboard for fun. If you love veggies like I do, you'll love the buffet. They always had fresh fruit, a variety of vegetables, and beans. Hint- take some snacks like nuts or fiber rich bars, chips or crackers, as the breads, rice, etc. are not wholegrain.

Only OK
Resort is pretty desperate for updating. Rooms are only mediocre, small with no real comfortable seating. Bed comfortable. Wi-Fi very good throughout the resort. Beach was fantastic but bring water shoes because of abundant coral. Buffet food was only average and there were no reservations available at the other restaurants. Looks like priority given to Viva members for reservations. Not a great choice for seniors.

Needs small upgrades, Entertainment Staff make the stay worth it!!
I stayed at the Viva Fortuna Beach by Wyndham for week long vacation. I do believe the hotel needs a number of small maintenance repairs/ upgrades, however I had a great experience. The staff was very helpful and attentive, particularly the entertainment team made this stay all worth the while. I don't remember all there names, however I had some great laughs with Roberto and Carlos by the pool. I loved the conch salad demonstration, it was very creative and a great way to get a feel of the Bahamaian culture. From karaoke night to darts the activities planned by the staff were great. I looked forward to the entertainment shows every night, they were all great performances, the circus was my favorite, I recommend not missing that show. The high engery they brought every single day I was there was greatly appreciated. Honestly there isn't many reasons I would come back to this resort location, but if I did, it would definitely be due to the entertainment team’s efforts, attentivness and welcoming personalities. Thank you guys!!!!

A descent all inclusive vacation
The Resort could definitely use some upgrades to the Hotel rooms, especially the bathrooms. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The resort is situated in a great location. You can walk along the Ocean front for quite a distance. Food was mostly above average in the Restaurants and average in the Buffet. The only true drawback was cigarette smoke. Almost impossible to get away from it.
