  Best view in Poipu!

  You cannot beat the views off the balcony of this stay! The accommodation of our two bedroom unit was homey and well-equipped with all the kitchen utensils you would need. There is a washer/dryer, you can borrow beach chairs and snorkle gear as needed, exchange your bath and pool towels regularly too after you sit by the pool or jump into the water. Marianne who runs the spot is a dream and really made the whole experience super enjoyable too! There is no fitness center or AC (pretty standard for Hawaii though) and the price is a bit intense, but all things considered would definitely come again!

  Best vacation I've had in years! Total relaxation.

  If you want a quiet, relaxing vacation in a place where you feel like you've escaped from the world entirely and are on your own little island while still being 5 min from every service you can imagine, this is the place. I can't tell you how relaxing it is to sit on the lanai or by the pool and watch time go by. The best. The staff are fantastic and Marianne went out of the way for us. The whole team is awesome! My recommendation is to stop by the local market, load up on food and hit the Thai Food Truck next door. You will love it. I was in room 233. The best!

  The only place we'll ever stay on Kaua'i

  My family has been visiting and returning to Whaler's Cove every year for almost a decade. It is the perfect retreat, and it is very different from the generic mega-hotel Hawaiian resorts in all of the most important ways -- it is quiet and feels private and personal, as if it were your own space. The location is ideal and the views are unreal. We have been visiting WC since BC (before children), and we now have a 5-year-old; one of the things I love most about this place is that it manages to be super kid-friendly without feeling dominated by crazy kid energy. So when we used to visit before our daughter was born, we loved how peaceful it was, and I have wonderful memories of settling in to do creative work while gazing out the window at the humpback whales spouting in the distance. And since we've been visiting as a family, we have continued to love all of the same things, while gaining new appreciation for the proximity to Baby Beach, the beautiful pool, and the big lawn on the ocean side. The staff are all wonderful, gracious, and discrete, which adds to the tranquil, peaceful, and private vibe. The condos are all very spacious, comfortable, and tastefully furnished -- each one unique, but all with fabulous lanai and view. Having experienced Whaler's Cove, we would not think of staying anywhere else on Kaua'i.

  Whalers Cove Resort…an ocean wildlife lovers paradise!

  Whalers Cove Oceanfront Resort, unit 210, is top notch! We could not have asked for more…ocean views right from our living room, the sound of crashing waves to lull you to sleep each night, steps away from the heated pool and hot tub overlooking the Pacific and a beautiful, grassy lawn overlooking the ocean just perfect for whale, sea turtle and dolphin watching. Unit 210 is spacious with an open kitchen, dining and living room. Large bathrooms with walk in showers and double sinks, a huge walk in closet and nice kitchen with full size appliances. The unit was well appointed with a relaxed island feel. It is very comfortable and stocked with any amenity you may need. We especially enjoyed the framed prints of photos taken by the owner of beautiful spots all around Hawaii (and the binoculars)! The General Manager, Marianne Martin, was exceptional from the time we booked until after our departure, as was the rest of the staff. Everyone we encountered at the resort were warm and friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of. Marianne’s communication and recommendations for local attractions were spot on and certainly added to our trip. We booked a boat tour based on her recommendation and had a blast. We were amazed at the ocean wildlife we saw…Manta Rays, Humpback Whales breaching, Monk Seals, Spinner and Bottle Nose Dolphins…all set to the breathtaking beauty of the Na’Pali Coast. The resort had complementary snorkel gear, Boogie Boards and an endless supply of beach towels. There is also a small “channel” just beside the resort where sea turtles would come to rest for the night and you could spot colorful fish. If you love animals and wildlife watching, Whalers Cove is just right for you.

  Perfect vacation.

  Whaler's is a magical place to stay. Perfectly located near excellent snorkeling beaches. Beautiful comfortable rooms. It was very quiet except for the ocean roar. vThe staff was very friendly. We were in beautifully appointed room 112. The pool and spa were clean and inviting.
