    sun, snorkel, sleep, repeat

We stayed in a studio which was plenty large for me and my husband. All the staff we interacted with were pleasant and helpful. The gym is one of the best gyms I've seen at a hotel. It was large and had a lot of equipment. The beach is amazing. It has white powdery sand and the clearest water I've ever seen. One doesn't even need a snorkel to see the fish. I walked in about 20 feet and there were many yellow and black striped fish and irridescent blue ones. I did snorkel though and since the reef is right there, there was plenty to see without having to go out too far. There were many options for sitting on the beach and at the pool, loungers, cabanas, hammocks, etc. The food was okay. There weren't many restaurants in the area. The hotel has an afternoon shuttle (for a fee) to the grocery store, so we stocked up on food and made sandwiches for lunch and that worked well for us.

Windsong exceeded our expectations, the place you want to stay!!!!

Windsong absolutely exceeded our expectations. We have traveled the Carribean all over and with Turks and Caicos being as beautiful as it is, Windsong made our experience that much better. Courteous staff, great beach, beach and pool chairs alway available, clean, rooms and location perfect. If you want the price, crowds and name of a Ritz Carlton, go knock yourself out. If you want value, less crowds, great continental breakfast and other food at Jo Jo's then Windsong is your place. We stayed in a bungalow off the beach and loved the gardens, privacy and pool. Room size was great separate bed and kitchen with living area. Convenient with short cab ride to restaurants and shopping. Gary and the staff at Windsong were the nicest people we have met. You will not be disappointed with this resort. We will be back next year!!!!!

Five star resort right on the fish friendly national park that is a coral reef. Wonderful Staff and Property.

A fantastic place staffed by wonderful people. I highly recommend. Key reasons why to I love Windsong. Great snorkeling within 10 feet of hotel on the reef (hence the name). Super private and quite with five star rooms and staff. The downsides? I love this place.. but everyone has something to work on. My top 3 areas for improvement are 1) it is a little crowded at the beach and you must wake up at 7am to snag a chair and umbrella. 2) the restaurant is lacking in space and selection of food.. so think about walking 15 min either way to get lunch. If you eat breakfast at the hotel there are 2 locations, one by the pool and the other up on the berm overlooking the ocean. This later one is much much better. Try to get go there first. 3) Drink service on the beach takes forever. Think about 40 min between when you get thirsty, put up a flag and then get your drink. Things to know 1) If you haven't been to Turks and Caicos before its best to decide what you want to do. For me spending time in the water, snorkeling or on a hobie cat is key. If you just want a massive beach with fast flowing drinks go next door to Beaches. This place is massive. With many self contained restaurants 2) Make dinner reservations a week early. My top 3 are Coco's Bistro and Mr. Grouper and BLT steak in the Ritz. Turks is VERY expensive. Budget $200-$250 for dinner w/ 2-3 drinks. 3) Tips are included in most bills from 10-12%. Waiters frequently ask for payment before you review the bill. Make sure you look first. 4) Big tourist shopping area is right around the Ritz. Lots of high end shops and restaurants. 5) Super warm in the summer, wonderful in the winter. 6) Get a fav cab driver and keep his number. Much faster that way. It costs about $16 per trip from Grace Bay to go anywhere 7) No Uber .. and taxis from the airport are big Vans filled with 8 people. You'll pay $26 for 2. 8) Pack some snack from home. A bag of chips at the hotel is $10.

    Best vacation ever!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Friendliest and cleanest place ever! You're created everywhere with a smile. Best vacation I ever had. This was gifted to me for Christmas from my daughter. We both enjoyed it. Everything you need is there. The beach, the lounge chairs, plenty of towels, and great service. I would recommend Windsong!

All the details that might be helpful

Here are some details that I hope will be helpful for others: Location: - beautiful Grace Bay, right in front of a great snorkeling reef - it is on the narrowest strip of the beach, so during high tide in particular it can get a bit tight - if you walk a few minutes to the left or right, it gets way wider! And I realized you can easily walk all the way to the main drag almong the beach (Regent Village), I would say in about 35mins - it's a bit away from the main area, but a quick 10min taxi ride to pretty much anywhere. - 15mns drive to the airport, so easy! Rooms: - nice, clean, big - rooms are being serviced twice a day, once for regular cleanup, and then in the evening they do a turn-down service, which was nice and felt very luxurious Activities etc: - they run a shuttle to the grocery store daily at 4pm, for $10. Definitely worth it, although it's just a 5min drive. Rooms have kitchens, so if you want to keep your food bill down (food is really expensive everywhere, even the store), it's worth it. Pro tip: you can get in touch with the concierge (Gary was great!) beforehand apparently, we didn't, and ask them to get groceries for you, so your kitchen is stocked as you arrive. Next time we will definitely do that! - great snorkeling right out front, and you can rent gear for ~$6 per day at the hotel - they can organize all kinds of activities for you. Parasailing, someone will pick you up at the beach, $89 per person, super fun. - They have a few kayaks and stand up paddle boards and a small hobie cat you can take out for free. - kayaking trip through the mangroves to see the turtles was one of the highlights for all of us, well worth the $ ($130ish per person) - we did not use the pool, but there is a big one by the beach and another small one in the back. Kids seemed to have a lot of fun Food: - There is a restaurant on site. Expensive. Lunch was great. We had dinner once and it was expensive and mediocre. - Breakfast (continental, decent) is included, you can add on if you want eggs or other proteins. - A 2min walk down the beach is "Somewhere", which has breakfast/lunch/dinner. Food was outstanding, pricing reasonable (compared to other places), great atmosphere, super friendly staff, and the view is hard to top. - all other places are a cab ride away, pretty much anything 10-15mins, so not bad Transportation: - Lots of private taxi services. They are all super nice and will give you their information so you can call them if you need a ride back to whereever they took you. - Pricing is a great range. For a 10/15min drive we paid anywhere between $18 and $42. It might be worth renting a car and parking at the hotel for free. Gas is insanely expensive though Staff: - everyone was wonderful, super friendly (should out to Gary the concierge, everyone at breakfast, and Kelli (sp?) and Omar at the beach. They took such great care of us
