Puerto Morelos is one of the oldest communities on Mexico's Caribbean coast. Though it’s still a fishing village, Puerto Morelos’ proximity to Cancun and a National Marine Park just offshore have made it a popular spot from which to explore the Great Mesoamerican Reef.
Do some snorkeling, snap some photos of the town’ fishing pier and famous leaning lighthouse, then browse for a few souvenirs. It’s a great place with friendly locals. And don't forget to check out my video on where to eat in Puerto Morelos!
